PFC IMO will escape a points deduction should they remain self sufficient and solvent. The next question would be, how long can that concievably last now the life support has not just been cut off, but almost chucked out of the building ?

Why is this even a thread FFS ?? Someone said Cortese may have said it once, cue MLG posting videos mocked up on youtube etc etc We are not even in the prem yet for christ sake, one step at a time and all that.
-
Cue some ultimately stomach churning journalism using the words. 'Wonderful little club' 'Plucky underdogs' 'Wonderful fans' etc etc

What are you public sector lot up to on Weds then?

I don't think anyone has denied that teachers do a decent enough job, and that they provide a decent service, my arguement is that do you really think that you provide a much better service than anyone else ?? Christ, the water board, SEB, Train service, even Vodafone and Macdonalds provide a service of some sort, and all will be rewarded as an individual worker if they do a better job in their industry, I am sure if you are as good as you say you are then your management will realise and put into place increments in pay etc. My arguement is that the public sector seem to find themselves somewhat excluded from what the rest of the country are going through ATM, for every one of you that is moaning about pension contrubutions REGARDLESS of the fact that you will now be drawing a pension longer then yesteryear (if we take into account living longer etc) there are those in certain industries currently either out of a job or scraping for a low paid job to keep them affloat, and I am sorry, but saying that it is their fault they are not in the public sector etc is a horrifyingly shortsighted view of your fellow man. I would love to see how many would 'stand up for their jobs' if they were asked to stand on the picket line for a couple of weeks. Still, IMHO the public sector is onto a loser, even if you win this arguement I can only see your precious pensions being propped up by deeper cuts or further damaging any effective escape from the economic downturn. -

You knew what the job entailed when you applied TBF ? I certainly did, and I certainly 'work' pretty much every hour of every day, be it answering phone calls or carrying out some sort of engineering task, even dragging myself out of bed at the early hours to arrange for some sort of repairs to be arranged as I am moaned at by the general public for; A. The fact repairs have to be carried out B. The fact that we may be jackhammering in the early hours. Now, what gets my goat, is the fact that the public sector simply must have golden pensions, and it is obviously someone elses problem to sort out the economic downturn, 'were all right jack' mentality. Of course it is also the banks fault, but it is also the fault of the burden placed on us by things such as the benefits culture and also the fat and swollen public sector made greedy by a boom period. In one hand you moan about a slash and burn mentality by the government, and then moan about keeping public spending high and benefits within the public sector to be at a gross and unsubstatiated rate, for me it must be one or the other surely ?? As for what I said about the strikes, what I do not like is the whole guerilla tactics of them, there is not commitment, in fact, I would suspect if people were excpected to commit to a proper walk out on a larger scale we would be seeing far less of a turnout. -

I would have to admit that I will be voicing my opinion towards a selfish and frankly cowardly display that is happening on wednesday. In a time of such an economic mess I find it somewhat nauseating that what on the outside seems a strike designed to cause the most disruption without actually showing any real commitment from the strikers is actually happening. As for inane comments such as nobody holds a gun to anyones head in regards to the jobs they take I think I will repost later when your jobs are slashed due to the double dip recession caused, a small amount, by the greed during the boom. -
Or the fact we never actually wanted him ?
-
He had about 1 good season
-
TBF he has never been a particularly good player and is even worse now
-
Don't go on too long then, I expect we would all much rather he spent time trying to fix Chappers then listen to your golf stories.

"Though, you'd have to look at the cards Dunk Yellow - Questionable whether it was a foul, but I don't think it was so clear that it can be deemed unjust. In this instance you can't blame poor refereeing, he was booked for the foul, not his reaction to the following wrong penalty decision. Taricco Red - Can totally argue against this, he was reacting to an embarrasingly bad decision. No, you can't swear at a ref, but in the face of such injustice, when the ref has been swearing, perhaps this should be taken into consideration. Navarro yellow- Can't really question this. It wasn't about the injustice of Walton's decision, it was a foul. He may have got the ball first, but it was not a good tackle. Calderon yellow- This, like dunk, was for a foul and was born out of the players frustration with Walton's ineptitude. It was, however, not a foul. So, shouldn't really count. Noone yellow - I don't remember this one, i says on espnsoccernet it was for dissent after conceding a foul. Given decisions made by Walton, I'd say this is probably mitigated. Barnes yellow - Dissent as above. So, I would argue that the FA should look at the game and look at Barnes, Noone, and Taricco's cards as a reaction to bad refereeing, Calderon's as a mistake by the ref, and should dismiss the charges, while reminding the club that although they understand the players' frustrations, the referee's decision is final, and dissent, even dissent to a poor decision, is not acceptable, and next time there won't b such leniency. And if we have so many yellows and they include dissent, the club should then face charges, regardless of the performance of the ref. " Lol

Jos had a better previous pedigree than young LJ. I can't see what he adds to Lambert,Guly,Connolly,Barnard,Steeeeeeeve -
I would be rather ****ed off if we replace Barnard with LJ TBH.

I would be rather underwhelmed if we sign him, he will not improve our frontline and has proven he can't cut it in the prem. We should be IMO looking at Maynard or perhaps wait until we are potentially promoted to sign someone of a better pedigree. I couldn't give a toss whether he has a saints crest tattoo'd on his bellend TBH he first and foremost needs to improve the team. Edit - That said a loan with option to buy isn't a bad bit of business just incase he is better than I am suggesting he is, would allow us to have a proper look at him. -
She really isn't that hot Of course fighting sports are considered sports, it takes training, discipline and physical exertion. Both parties understand the dangers and the boundries. If women want to do mens sports then why shouldn't they ? Obviously they need to understand they will never be as talented lol. As per the dislocation, did the ref tap soon enough or was the contender attempting to ride it out ?? As soon as Ronda got the arm straightened out she was f*cked.

That tross is an arrogant fella !! I would say our strength in depth is definately a strong point of ours, but I agree that if we suffer a few losses at home we will see Adkins metal in respect to keeping us moving forward. WHU are beginning to go through a toughish patch, playing some crappy football but are rumbling on, we need to hope they start dropping points.
-
Our away form isn't too scary as long as we keep winning at home and as long as we keep picking up points, though a few more smash and grabs wouldn't go a miss.
-
Poyet - So I give my Xmas letter to you ?? I want a new bus please. Bald Bloke - That silly tw*t thinks geoff is father xmas

Cue this place going into meltdown facilitated by Sant_Lard, Alpine and Hypo boring the crap out of all of us with i told you so's, were going to get relegated and Adkins out.
