  1. I have a feeling Lambert won't cut it in the NPC And (WC 2010) This is Englands year, I feel it.
  2. Pilgrim House hands down !!! Takeaway would be King chef in Bitterne IMO
  3. Shock horror the only thing you post on this thread is f*cking tedious. Some blonde beauties - Do you think flies remember being maggots - Were Dragons real ? - Who invented chicken ? - What sort of bees make jam She is actually quite intelligent and does an intelligent job but jesus christ
  4. I tried this, I got Luton promoted, then Saints offered me the job and I couldn't turn it down, cue then turning down every other job as I had my saints project. boo
  5. I hold nothing back to the fact that I do not believe a single word that religion states, I appreciate its primitive attempt of principles no matter how prehistoric its implementation, what I do detest, as you say is the fact that religion will never ever take no for an answer. As for plugging gaps, I too fail to fall into the category of plugging the gaps in my knowledge with a god that probably doesn't exist however I do find myself at times saying to myself, well, what if ?? I mean as I said, energy cannot just create itself, and we live in a reality that we think is just constrained within finite mediums, and so energy could not just have 'always' been there, neither can it have created itself or else more or less every formulae I have ever learnt and used in Physics is more or less made redundant. Besides, as much as I don't really see there being a grand creator, I can almost see the merits of ghosts and yes, can see through my own thinking how they could possibly be real, and if I am honest, I think we have seen more 'evidence' no matter how fleeting on the existance of ghosts then we ever have of god.
  6. I agree with pretty much everything you say. Except for Lampard, he is so used to having a team built around him in the Chelsea set up that he just has not the discapline to play in a proper midfield role, he would be brilliant playing just behind the front man but thats just not how we play. Besides, Gerrard was always the more talented of the two and far too often the man in charge tried a failed attempt to fit them both in rather then go with arguably our most talented midfielder of his generation (bar Scholes). But yes, after the WC debarcle I was one who shouted out the fact we needed to go down the european root and turf all of those that would IMO be too old for the next WC and allow a new young team to have the EC as a bedding in period.
  7. #155 Basically no matter what your school syllabus tells you not everything has an answer, and a real scientist cannot dismiss anything out of hand. Questioning the reality we live in is what will keep us improving, saying thats how things are and anything else is just stupid is unfortunately not only a pig ignorant, arrogant but also incredibly unintelligent way of thinking and one I hope a teacher that could potentially teach my kids does not hold.
  8. I would say crabby is a believer. Oh and to MLG, if the infinate regression idea is stupid you must be of the camp that believes energy is able to just create itself then ?
  9. He wasn't massively successful TBH and the Everton debarcle was never brilliant. He had decent seasons in the Championship when he would have been in his peak (according to many) but as I said, he was never a player I looked at as our best player, he just had a season where everything hit the goal. I would never ever want him back, full of his own importance that was probably bred by the unwarranted hero worship he got from us lot.
  10. This Unfortunately people are blinded by his one good season for us, and although I enjoyed it massively I still looked at Beattie even during that season as particularly uninspiring. He has never been a partcularly talented player TBH, he just hit a purple patch. The9, I agree with you and Crabby, for once I think you have got this issue wrong, how old is he now anyways ?? We should be looking towards the future, not a shady past.
  11. MLG still hasn't tried to answer me Teacher teacher, I still have my hand up
  12. I doubt it TBH Football has a discapline problem. I have not problems with them drinking etc on their off time, but all too often does football seem to create such ugly role models.
  13. He does TBF, I am willing to give Capello another chance, but only if he lets the kids play and tells Lampard to do one.
  14. Exactly the point I was making mate, it is hardly league 1 standard. If I were to name an NPC first 11 then Fonte would be in it for a start. Seaborne started life well, harding, as much as I agree is our weakest link ATM is still as passionate as with his occasional positional problems aside is still not putting many feet wrong. I would rather we made the right choice then jumped in, I mean, what if they decided Gorkkss didn't have long left in his playing career ? What if Jemal was only interested in the cash and demanded clauses ? We don't know basically. As far as the transfer window was concerned I am happy. Lets give Hoovliet a chance shall we.
  15. Qatar will happen, it shouldn't but it will. The fact that it was probably fuelled by the wrong reasons and was in all honesty a very stupid choice for a footballing venue means little to nothing now that it is done and things are in motion. As for FIFA I hope this info comes out sooner rather than later, mainly because they are A. Obviously corrupt and B. IMO losing touch and control over the footballing bodies that run their own domestic games. You can see this by just looking at the way Scudamore attempts to ride roughshod over everything. Football needs a shakeup IMO, FIFA needs to become fair and a proper governing body again and IMO the premiership and FL need to be brought inline and work together as one instead of two dissinterested entities.
  16. I have heard a few before, I don't really believe them TBH, the problem is people are afraid to say that we are here because of a massive slice of luck, nothing more nothing less. If it was an intelligent being why would they stop on earth ?? Why would they create a massive universe and populate just one planet ?? Why wouldn't they make others, closer to us that could sustain life ? Also, Elements and compounds, surely they are codes as well, and building blocks, are they also created in this way ?? Its all to do with luck and random occurances I am afraid. And TBH there will be just as many google blogs denouncing that theory as there are in support. The fact is nobody really knows as we probably know around 10% of all there is in the scientific field, and the way science works one big discovery could destroy so many theories we thought were infallible. And yes, you can start posting youtubes if you wish.
  17. Hows that going ?
  18. TBF though How many teams, and we are talking even real big hitters in the likes of your Utd's and City's, chelsea's etc. Have identified areas where they need strengthening and it just doesn't happen. Yes it is a failure on our part but not really one out of the obvious. I would imagine the target this year was to build a team capable of being competetive, but we have had a great start so that may have changed. We have decent attacking options, and more or less decent at the back, we could do with a decent LCB but why rush in ?? The main thing is we have kept belief and not upset the team spirit. If fit I'd play Hoovliet.
  19. Probably because of the fact that they have been 'hit by county court judgements' I would suggest that in reality the target for Bournemouth is survival in league 1, much to the fans displeasure, but then there is nothing new to the fans and the chairman to have vastly differing expectations. Bompy should be ok in league 1 this year, it is a poor poor league, with some very poor teams in it, and as Granty has said, with a few shrewd loans and keeping the spirit and belief up will keep them in the league this year, I can't see them being in as much financial turmoil as pompey were. If however panic sets in or even a few months of no payments (wages) then you may see them plummet.
  20. So what are you actually going to do about all this nawtyness then ?? Have you looked into exorcism ?? And in all honesty I would be interested for you to leave a noise recorder on and let us hear what happens.
  21. Well there could be a supreme being that created everything, I mean, I suppose the arguement that keeps getting pushed back when science discovers something new is that well what created that then etc etc. It is a fair point, not one I subscribe too but one that I cannot dismiss out of hand, as in all honesty it is almost a valid arguement, I mean, currently physics tells us that energy cannot be created or destroyed, and so how did it begin in the first place ?? considering that the world we 'believe' we live in is governed by finite constraints and time is essentially finite then it had to all start at some point somewhere. I don't see how DNA is a 'code' created by intelligent life however, it is a pattern, and a building block. By that logic you could argue that everything in life has a blueprint, a design and so there must have been something behind it to create it and design it. I can't see that. Life has evolved through time, situations and adaptability to what it is now and over the millions of years will continue to do so. The reason we believe DNA to be a code is because this is how we as humans attempt to understand things, the fact that everything has to be categorized and theorized, just because we have defined it as a literal code, does not mean that it is a code created by something, it is just how we understand it, and if I am honest I don't believe we understand it completely yet. FWIW Apes do not have the same mental capacity as we do however they do have a capacity to learn and teach and so yes, it is concievable that given time they could potentially type harry potter books.
  22. Short work outs but at almost or at your maximum effort. Basically, I sprint as fast as I can for 1 minute, then jog at steady effort for 1 1/2 minutes and then repeat 4 or 5 times. At first I could only complete it if I did 30 seconds Max and then 1 minute max. I combine this with a weights workout every other day and do a medium run (3-5 miles) and long run (5-10 miles) a couple of times a week and I promise you I have seen results faster then when I just used to aimlessly pound it out at the gym endlessly. With the weights workout I usually spend about 10 - 20 minutes working on upper on Mondays, Core Wednesdays and Lower Fridays. It works. NB - The long runs are basically because I am aiming to do the GSR in OCT & Turks, I may or may not have the P90X workout soon so you may or may not recieve a PM
  23. How much do you want for it ?
