Lallana is the most creative Lambert is the lynchpin Chaplows gives the most energy But according to Adkins, Schniederlin is the most talented and has the best technique.

Morgan, width and Nige's views on De Ridder
Smirking_Saint replied to shurlock's topic in The Saints
I can agree with that, he has a lot of huff and puff with little end product, but he still is valuable when trying to break open a team late on as they have to try and deal with him. As for Morgan he is starting to carve out a starting place for himself, he looked much better on the right today, and IMO is a much better option than hammond. -
Time To Drop Fox. Harding To Start V Skates?
Smirking_Saint replied to View From The Top's topic in The Saints
Didn't really understand changing Fox for Harding today ? Both similar players and TBH thought Fox was doing a decent job, its very good that we have those two as an option. -
I must admit, our Scottish counterparts (Electricity Consumers) are very different to down here, it is not unusual for a Scot off supply in these conditions to flag down one of our vans and say 'Have you come to fix my electricity I have been off for a week ?' For us to say 'Sorry we are off to another job right now but will be back as soon as we can' And for them to reply 'No problems, I have the candles and drink ready, good luck' Completely different story down here !!!

Thank f*ck its not a J number eh ??

57,000 people off supply in Scotland, 165 MPH winds, most of the staff going up there, all planned works cancelled and the above picture, aparantly they are in a bit of a mess. I am currently keeping my head down, I have no desire to be sent to Scotland.

What was the thread ?? I wish they didn't perma ban unless you were really really out of order, just destroys the forum IMO. Still miss Deppo, quite often a complete bellend but he broke the monotony.

TBH never really seen the massive attraction for Holly Willoghbooby

Are we getting the best out of Jack Cork
Smirking_Saint replied to Window Cleaner's topic in The Saints
I always thought of him as a defensive midfielder TBF, thats what he was at chelsea, thats what he was at Burnley and even in his time here back then he was a defender/RB/Midfielder. He is decent there, he is just going through a bit of a difficult patch IMO, I am not sure Hammond is his natural partner, he has been on form recently but IMHO is not the player we need there as techically he is not good enough (Hammond that is). Partner him with a more technical midfielder and he will be fine. -
Apparantly he is a bigger tw*t then I thought.

Holly looks like she has MASSIVE nipples

Today shows why we should have signed James Beattie

FFS we are going through a bad patch, we were not much better Tues !!! -
Seems to have taken a better offer Eg job progression somewhere else, fair play to him IMO

I think we could do with another striker, though I would argue we need something different, like some pace. I just think it would be a hard sell, don't get me wrong, if we get Lukas I will be far from dissapointed, I just wonder if we will be able to finalise a deal. Nor do I think Lukas is a particularly decent player, I mean, if we do make it to the prem, I would argue we would need a prem quality striker as a priority.

What are you public sector lot up to on Weds then?
Smirking_Saint replied to JackanorySFC's topic in The Lounge
TBF does this actually affect you in any way ? Are you old enough for your life experiences to enable you to make a justified arguement ? -
Lukas is building a career for himself, if he has any sense he wouldn't come to sit on an NPC bench only to be more or less released in the prem. Do you really think if he has 3 or 4 offers he would sit on our bench ? 22 or not he is a first team regular.
-
I can see our selling point to Lukas aswell 'Wanna come to Soton ? Just incase Ricky gets injured ?"
-
As apposed to argueing with yourself ? which obviously just results in countless posts posturing, trying to convince everyone that you are correct and then denying you actually spend any time on this forum ?

Lambert didn't really have the best of games IMO, he played ok, he won a lot in the air but he was hardly against the biggest, nastiest of defenders. Not an aweful lot of his play came off, and Guly, Lallana and Adkins all appeared to have a word with him at some point. He is still a very good player though, and vital to the way we play, a big injury will have us reeling. As for this Martin debate, he isn't technically ready for a long run in the side IMO. He is a decent enough stopper but I feel a prolonged run in the side will show us some of his weaker traits, namely his distribution. And Barnard, I don't know Derry, the lad has been out for what ? 6 months ? He is bound to be a bit behind the pace, he done okish, its a little early to judge, and TBF he was a decent enough player in the NPC. And Hypo, who's footballing knowledge is built up in the confines of his school Library, though I expect he is striking today, making sure everyones signs are grammatically correct.

He didn't look his best last night IMO, he wasn't full of energy like his usual self either. But was still a constant threat, and yes, it gets on my nerves the constant baiting of him in the stands it really does. Lambert, Cork and Fonte all had reletively poor games last night, but they never get the criticism that Guly gets.
