I was talking about this yesterday Nick. The prem has gone backwards in recent times, now the spanish teams are better in terms of playing staff, with the pulling power for the likes of Kaka, Ronaldo etc. Citeh may end up with a large draw if and when they make it into the champions league. Man utd have no cash these days, they never replaced the likes of Ronaldo (well tbf who could ?). I can see SAF walking unless things change soon, he doesn't have the resources he needs to keep them fresh IMO. Look at who their stand out players are this year, Scholes and Giggs, both WELL the wrong side of 30. They just havn't got the quality replacements they did have a couple of years ago, they should have been signing Van Der Vaart not Tottenham. If Rooney does leave it will ring a death toll for Manure, and yes, i can see Citeh overtaking them before too long.

Antonio was never the first name on the team sheet either Proff ? Puncheon and Lallana were in their respected positions so IMO a winger is not needed. What with Holmes, Dickson, Ox-C and Mills all on the books. We now have Chaplow in the CM role covering, hopefully we sign him on for a longer period. As for the striker role. Lambert and Barnard are easily good enough at this level, Guly had a quality game against Tranmere and from people that were at Hudds was hardly the worst player their either. We are not in a bad place right not, Bignall was probably the sort of player we were going to get down here right now due to Barnard and Lambert being probably all but definate first 11's, who would want to sit behind them ? We are not in a bad place right now, Adkins has come in and given us a new lease of life and confidence, Lambert is getting back to his game. Huddersfield would always be a hard game, they are pretty good at home TBF so i was never 100% confident. I expect more of Tranmere at home against Oldham and we will push on from there. Don't get me wrong i wouldn't be against signings in Jan but we would have to A. Rid ourselves of Holmes, Mills etc and replace with more quality or B. put up with that fact that we will probably end up with a squad far too big, too expensive and bordering of becoming stale. We have the players at the moment, and are playing well (5 games unbeaten before Sat) Clark got his tactics right and the team were obvious very up for playing us, we won't win them all.

Its hardly all Roy's fault. The whole situation, the board troubles, the ego revolts that i expect are going on at the moment i mean Torres looks far from happy. He has inherited the fat spanish waiter's squad, from which the bufoon had spent far far too much and he has had no cash to spend. Hopefully he will be given a bit of cash and a bit of a leash to forge out a better future for Liverpool. As for the mong kop, i mean FFS, does one European cup really make up for pretty much detroying the team ? Benitez was a failure in my eyes, and the fact that the scousers have lost patience on Roy already is laughable really.

They have had a decent home record over last season and this one. Its not a terrible result. Personally i said i would take a draw before hand as i couldn't really see us beating them.

FFS and we miss the erect nipples

well..................huddersfield playing out of their skin, lets see what the 2nd half fightback is like

Good tactics from Hudds, what i thought they would play. We will have to see what Adkins plan B is like. My thoughts are that if they are pushing up hit the wings or long ball.

what a great start

I really don't understand this thread TBH ?? What difference does it make ? Of course your gonna get a few people having a pop but that goes for anyone who is considered different from the norm (which is boll*cks for a start) Your no different to any other fan really. I don't really understand the purpose of the thread.

Nope FOR france lol
-
I think if we let Morg's off the leash and allow him to play like he does against France he would look even better. BTW nice to see Guly being on Soccer AM showboat twice this morning.
-
COYR Same as last week boys. Though i would take a draw tbh
-
How very hypocritical Anyway, how is Riquelme and Maradonna getting on ?
-
Permanent to replace Connelly. Hopefully this Bignall will be a good signing however.
-
Striker yes, but winger ?? Probably not really needed. What with Punch, Lallana, Ox, Holmes, Dickson and Mills.
-
Dickson is a decent player whenever i have seen him, he has ambition going forward, a testing cross and can defend when needed. More importantly he is young. Holmes is starting to look decent aswell. We are pretty inundated with left sided players atm but i am confident if given game time Dickson will look very good. We could probably do with shifting some of the dead wood IMO. Holmes is probably one of those names, as may Mills be.

Guly was fantastic he really was, but i wonder what he will be like against a tough battling team that have more about them then a very poor Tranmere side. Its a hard choice, and one thankfully i will not be judged to make. It all depends how Adkins sets the team up against them, Saturday was the best i have seen us play for years and years, even PL ones. So hopefully more of the same, i just wonder if Guly will lose his confidence a bit if he is continually closed down and his clever flicks are mopped up ?? I don't know who to start really, what i do know is we now have fantastic options with Barnard-Guly, Barnard-Lambert, Lambert-Guly. If we keep Guly and Chaplow i honestly think (with the return of Richardson) we are more or less a complete team, perhaps a young hungry striker is also needed.

Don't get me wrong, i enjoyed the season we were in the cup final and top 8, mainly because of the results. I wasn't great football though, very defensive. Even some chelsea fans had had enough of the defensive tactics towards the end of Mourinho's tenure.
-
He isn't a bad manager but not outstanding, he made us very hard to beat, it was almost boring under him. I don't know, sometimes things just don't turn out.

No doubt you have a conspiracy theory in the offing ?? AL from a personal perspective would be mad to sign a contract in January without knowing where we are going to be next year, there is no way he will stay or probably be persuaded to stay if we are still in the third tier, if i had offers from the PL then i wouldn't. The NPC is however different, especially if we look as though we could have a decent crack at it. Equally i believe that NC won't cash in, we (i think still) are minted, we don't need the cash and so what would the point be ? Some players are irreplaceable, AL (at this level) is irreplaceable and so i think he will also wait until seasons end and try to persuade him again once promoted, i would be very surprised if contract talks have not already been approached. All in all i reckon this one will rumble on until somewhere near the end of this season or start of next.

So you got punished for your kind action ?? Blimey !!

Company paid for the degree as part of the contract i signed up. Plus i will be forgoeing the child benefits and paying a sufficient amount of tax anyways. I would never have driven myself to the levels of debt some of our young students do these days, it is just not feasible. As far as the 'you need a degree to get a leg up line' it is just wrong, most employers would rather see experience then degrees on a CV because that is what is seriously lacking in the job markets these days. TBF, someone made a good point earlier, that degrees that are 'needed' should be subsidised. Perhaps this could be done in line with employers such as what they do with apprenticeships in which the company will get half of the degree costs back if they successfully push an empolyee towards a 'needed' degree ?
