  1. No its a blip, Saints will still go back to the better than england days mark my words. How anyone can think England are better than us when we have such caliber as Pulis AND wotton on the bench.
  2. I wasn't Pardews biggest fan, everyone probably knew that before the sacking, he just didn't set the world alight for me but hey ho me and you have already discussed his merits so i won't start again, everyones opinion is different etc. I can't see anyone having a pop at Lambert though, he is just off colour, which worries the f*ck out of me as it seems our entire game plan at times revolves around him.
  3. 10 AM Tuesday, it will be Howe
  4. Says the bloke who pretends to be drunk at least once a week
  5. Oh yeah we can do that, i suppose you are lonely now SRS has been banned
  6. Funnily enough i think that quite regularly with your posts
  7. Were not far from top spot TBF. Still in with a shout if we appoint someone to get the best out of us soon. I am glad we are waiting for the right appointment as there is no point rushing into things. The league is all over the place atm, no one is setting the world alight.
  8. Dunno, i wonder if he is NC's spin doctor
  9. True, and Les Reed knows nothing about football.....priceless
  10. Spot on as usual Chez, i got slagged off last season for saying the better CB's in the air get the better of Rickie.
  11. Not really re-writing history, Pardew did ok. But hardly set the world alight did he ? He achieved the average last year really, he never made the playoffs, we won the JPT but as i have said before i would hand that back for even a coin toss to get into the NPC. Shurlock summed up his tenure earlier in one of his posts, he signed obvious talents, yes he did well with Lallana but anyone with a set of eyes saw the boy had talent if played correctly. He signed a RB this year, but never addressed the CM, back up to Rickie (which is obvious considering the way we play) and a bit of pace. A lot more to saints ?? Not really a lot, we play football every now and again but more often than not it falls to the big hoof to him. What makes me laugh is the hero worship of Pardew really, he was ok, but never set the world alight. But then its ok because Pardews tactics and team are still performing so well this season under Wilkins............................oh
  12. I would be happy with that, WITH clark
  13. I don't get Dowie, he has never achieved anything of note. Edit - Forgot about Palarse I wouldn't want him as manager. I would love Howe, MON, Adkins. Would be ok with Curbs, Zola and even Brown (if he got away from his Ego a little bit, we have had one like that already). Curbs i would wonder about his desire, he has been out of the game a long time.
  14. Lol Glad you never saw Pardews tactical genius.
  15. Its saints, its the hard way or no way.
  16. It's ok, Cortese will do, he has got rid of the tactically clueless mr egotastical.
  17. This is spot on. Doddisalegend has his bellend so far up Pardews ring piece that even when alan is running away he is still along side him to give him support. Fact is, if Pardew wasn't backed then he wouldn't have been saying he was trying to get signings in and nor would Wilkins. Face it Dodd's, you are too far up Pardews ars* to admit he wasn't good enough. Oh i wish you knew the truth, but then i think you would still back him to the hilt. You might as well change your username to captain darling.
  18. Easy, Pardew never strengthened in the summer, he never got the team ready for this term, never taught them a plan B. lallana is injured. Lambert is injured. Jaidi is sh*te. Hammond can't pass. Our owner died. Our manager is sacked for what we can only assume was an incident somwhere. Is it any wonder the club is shell shocked.
  19. This I love teh supper dooper know it alls that think everything was rosy in Pardew land. Fact is it wasn't, fact is this sh*te, one dimensional rely on Lambert bringing down the hoof ball football was all Pardews idea. Remember that Northam actually Boo'd him for all the home games in charge he had at St Mary's. Remember the fact he didn't have a clue what to do if his plan A didn't work. But more importantly, even if it was all NC's fault, i don't want someone managing at St marys who has not the full support of the chairman, Pardew has always been an arrogant w*nker who has fell out somewhere or another everywhere he has gone. NC has moulded us into a club that is now geared for teh top tier, wow, pardew won the JPT, so F*cking what ? Wembley was a good day out but i still woke up this season wondering why we are still in this godforsaken league with the likes of Rochf*ckingdale. Perhaps without this wonderful *cough* tin pot trophy we would be in the NPC by now ??
  20. There was reasons behind the Stuart Gray sacking ..... i know why this is Reasons behind why Souness left....... i know why this is Reasons behind the WGS leaving..... i know why this is Fact is, doesn't matter who is in charge people will know the reasons behind why certain people leave, and very rarely do chairmen at any football club have any reason to share that info, as for AP's sacking, i have a decent idea from a source i trust. Will we ever hear the truth ?? probably not but then does anyone ever ??
  21. Lol
  22. Lol Gerrard is arguably the most complete midfielder in the whole team, it is not hidden the fact that when a youngster England never lost a game a young Gerrard played in for a long time. He can defend, he can attack and gives everything. An absolute wasted player from our so called 'golden generation' and without a doubt if we played him in his best position we would have done so much better. Lampard is a big head, and not a complete player, he is lazy and plays only one dimensional, attacking. Chelsea build a team around him, England can't do that. England need to take a continental approach and cull the elders from the squad and only pick the players that could make then next world cup, use the Euros as a training ground. Jagielka was stand put, Dawson and Cahill were good, showed they could cope with Terry/Ferdinand absence. Barry/Gerrard worked very well. Walcott, Johnson (a), and Milner looked good. The only player that looked sh*te was G Johnson whos defending is horrific at times but even his attacking was woeful against bulgaria
  23. KK would be the big name everyone craves, but as far as managing goes, he isn't up there for me as a 'good' manager, only manages teams with money and backing and fails a lot of times. We need someone with hunger, not an old name who believes they no longer need to work for it.
  24. Was thinking the exact same earlier. AP's legacy was a big hoof and play off of RL's scraps, the big hoof hasn't worked all season and so we look poor. We need a manager in with more to his game, and more importantly we needed a backup to Rickie, we have niether ATM and the team don't seem to know what to do. I know Akinfenwa everyone slagged off as a fat f*ck. But the man is big, strong, and he is scoring goals.
  25. The position Reed holds now is the future tbf, Chelsea do it, Barca do it, I expect Arsenal and Manure do it. Pardew is head strong, always has been (re. Tevez and Masch) everywhere he has gone has been marred by some sort of dispute. But he seems a god down here, he bought well, he planned well but TBF anyone could have got a decent achievement out of this team. Tactically inept.
