Rev's is full of tw*ts with too much money these days, but still is a half decent bar night out if you are with the right crowd, your looking at around £4 a drink mind. Nice clunge though. -

A handicap of 28 on stapleford means that you get 1 shot every hole and an extra shot of SI 1 through 10 does it not ?? Anyways, been playing quite well recently, my Iron play and driving (3 wood) have been very good, went out the other day with a mate that plays off of 14 and drives very well with his driver and i kept up with him, generally 30-40 yards behind with my 3 wood, at times out driving him altogether, as usual my putting is letting me down but i am getting decent scores as i am hitting the greens earlier. Then yesterday rolled around, we had our 2 monthly society (i am trying to push it to monthly) and i felt pretty confident, i got there early, and decided to do some putting practice and did reletively well for me sinking 2 puts on average lengths and even quite a few long putts which for me was pretty good. Even the 3-4 yarders which i generally c*ck up i was putting some with one hand, for me thats showing off !!!!!! Then i decided to 'bed in' my driving, big mistake, bought 100 balls and literally probably 2 went were i wanted them to go, i was devostated, even my irons were b*llocks. Then i went out and TBH my front 9 was pretty decent for me scoring 13 points, problem was i blobbed the last few holes, i spent one playing pin ball with a couple of trees and when i managed to get it out i landed in a bunker. I purposely played a draw with a 5 wood 1/2 swing around the trees about 100 yards from the pin (low trees and a couple of trunks in the way) it shaped well and i was so chuffed i pulled it off, it then rolled over the hill and into a bunker. The next hole was no better, a poor drive from the tee and then i went on to play some fat topped shots with my usually reliable irons and i think it got into my head. Back 9 score of a grand total of 3 points, 'sigh' back to the driving range to work on things.

Started playing Hardcore HQ Pro and am generally ruling it, getting K 2 D of around 50ish to 15-20ish ATM with a top round of about 76 to 21, pretty awesome i must say, will be playing this game type for a little while me thinks

Reading through the owls forum really highlights a lack of knowledge many fans have, both us and them. IMO they have very much underestimated the team we have here at St Mary's, both due it's talent and it's form going into this season 'hopefully'. The fact that they are saying that they would not take a single player from our starting 11 is laughable to say the least. If i was to pick a best 11 it would look like this. Grant Richardson Beevers Fonte Dickson Tudgay Miller Shneiderlin Lallana Lambert Morrison All in all though we are looking at a team that has just been relegated, the morale will not be there and in all honesty i cannot see a huge difference between the team that got relagated and the team here now, but we shall see.

The unions are there to protect the rights of it's members and provide an ally, without them companies can do pretty much as they please in regards to pay and terms etc which seems to have been what has happened to you, i for one would not accept a pay cut and i also know i am entitled to a pay rise, but then that is why i an unionised. I have no idea what these people earn however i would imagine they deserve a pay rise etc. You cannot tar all union strikes with the same brush and certainly cannot give an arguement such as 'i have not had a pay rise etc etc' as that is something that you have accepted, and fair play to you, just be careful as companies can have a habit of walking over employees that agree to anything.

No, players have more power than that, if he wanted more than a 1 year deal i would expect he would get it. I have not read anything yet however i would imagine that there would be some sort of extension included into the deal on both parts, i would assume he wants to move up to CCC with us, and if we miss out he can assess his options.
-
Great player, will be a quality signing i feel but surely he wants to play more than a bit part which mkes the fight for RB even more exciting !! To those who have seen him play, is he any good as a CM ? Or a DM ?? This could be a crucial piece in a crucial position if he is. Great signing cheers AP/NC and team.

Hampshire workmen paint white lines around dead badger

I am not sure about bovines, all mammals have the capaility to carry TB, it's just that it seems quite rife within badgers. I think they are more worried about the spread of TB to cattle however. Does a cull need to be done ?? I am sceptical TBH but hey ho. -

Badgers carry the tuberculosis virus, in that respect i wouldn't want to touch it. -
Slightly worried, but not hysterical and of the need to post a new thread on this issue once a week. We still definately need a CM but that is pretty much it as a bare minimum IMO. We could do with another striker to cover Rickie and perhaps a little bit more pace in the wide areas. Other than that, get the f*ck over it Alpine, it's almost as boring as the whole payment plan episode.

Heskey retires from international football

His legs did, they have now let his head know -
Well, that doesn't surprise me, he hardly had the most impressive of world cups. IMO in the past he has been a good partner to the England strike force, however right now he is just not the man we needed upfront. I would imagine he wouldn't be the first to retire in the near future.
-
Would he be good enough for us though hammy ?? What with Connelly and Barnard both vying for a spot, i would also hazard a guess that DC was told he is firmly within AP's plans or else i would have thought he would have gone elsewhere. IMO we need a replacement for Lambert because he is a lynchpin to the sort of tactics that we and AP like to play at the moment, unfortunately it is long ball but hey ho, it works. I just think the money we would spend on him could be better spent in other areas, for example getting a quick wide man that could also play upfront as we had last season. Just IMO of course.

Unfortunately i agree with this. I am not on faceache or this reason also, plus i tried it for a little while and it annoyed the fook out of me will everyone posting endless status updates like 'Suzy is currently having a dump' and 'john is really upset' Why anyone would want to post every aspect of their private lives on an online site that can be viewed by all the people you have ever met and stupidly made a decision to add them i would never know, sure for the close knit side of things it is good to stay in touch but i have a mobile and legs for that sort of thing. If my team at work had issues etc i would personally look at it very unfavourably if certain members were openly discussing and criticising other members in full view of 100's of people, not only is it damaging to morale but could lead to a whole host of other problems, as for your wife being essentially a line manager AND a union rep she should really be setting a better example and in a way it shows the senior management no respect in openly airing all of the problems in the work place, if she had an issue she should really have discussed it in private. This is the same sort of thing as when employees openly start moaning and complaining to management in front of other employees, you do the right thing and keep it quiet until you get the manager alone to discuss issues. That said it is a silly mistake, we all make them and i hope she learns from the future. I really hope it does not affect her new job, and like others have said it may be good to politely speak to the new job and explain the situation, this allows her to have control over the information given to them FIRST and so she may be able to 'explain it' a little more favourably then her senior management who may be a little ruffled with the situation and her leaving. But also look at it this way, when she gets her new dream job she is much less likely to put it at risk by making the same silly mistakes.
