OX-C will play a lot this year from the bench IMO, AP is clearly trying him out in pre-season and that speaks volumes for me, i trust AP in the fact that if he thinks Ox-C is good enough not to bring in another Waigo/Antonio than he will be good enough. It would be nice to bring in another pacy winger, long have i thought that pace is one of those attributes that gives players so much (in some ways more than technical ability) and at this level pace has so much impact. It would also be nice to have a pacy striker but in reality we don't really play that way so its not desperate.

My instinct is that Huddersfield will struggle to make the playoffs this year, god knows why as it has no basis in reality looking at their squad. My instinct is also that we will sign someone today, i doubt that would happen either. That said, we are not as bad as you are making out, we have not been severely weakened TBF, we do need a midfielder and some pace for this season, but as i said on another thread and as Chez said it does need addressing but getting the right men in is far more important and if that waits until a few games in then so be it. IMO we definately need a replacement for if Lambert gets injured, not necerssarily a goal scorer but a strong and effective target man that can set up others just to suit who we play really. I also think we will probably play 4-5-1 this season anyways.

Working as a cleaner in the council buildings in eastliegh, wasn't bad money for a 16 year old working around my college courses but it taught me that i didn't want to go around cleaning up peoples sh*t and leftovers all my life. True, and i wouldn't expect them to at all, even though some would bemoan the removal as an act of evil from the devil incarnate. But at the moment it makes sense to take advantage of the situation for growth and prosperity.

I think it is good to get the under 8's in free, it solidifies a love for football and going to football at a young age, that way when they get older i am sure the young VFTT's will be asking daddy to pay for another ST and hopefully a good percentage of these under 8's will grow up into STH's. It makes long term financial sense, especially as we have no need to clamour for the upfront ST sales cash that many clubs rely on at this time of the season. You will probably see this feature become watered down as the STH's rise through us rising through the divisions etc

As i said in my post, we are not a club with 'a requirement to gain the cash sum from ST's at the start of the season' in fact they have quite a large debt and have recently even considered selling the ground in order to pay off some of the said debt. So........Um.............next ?

We should have had 20k STH's ??? - - - Lol, 20k, at a league 1 club, in a recession, when the club has no requirement to gain the cash sum from ST's at a start of a season and no more than 2/3rds of a clubs attendance should be STH's That he actually said they would be around 13k mark - - - I don't really know, some threads he said about 7.5k, some 9k and others higher, all threads he said they would be less than last year, they are higher, so he is wrong. NC has gone out to reduce the STH's - - - Well, he has failed in that respect if he wanted to, which is b*llocks, because if he wanted to he would not have offered a decent renewal price, simples. The payment plan was a big deal to EVERYONE - - - Clearly it wasn't. Please please give up now Stu, it really is f*cking boring

Twas the same last year Teamsaint Great sales figures so far, just shows that NC got it right really. I think SRS somewhere said that he would concede defeat and apologise if the sales figures for ST's was actually up from last year. SRS/DBP - Mines a Kronenbourg mate
