I find that signing a new assistant is vital, although Wilkins left to take a manager job somewhere. -
Ok, fair point sorry

FFS, try reading what i have said before jumping down my throat

Cheers for another insightful post, it is actually different to the other thread, this is not a slagging off Lambert thread.

Hold on a minute, can i just say i am in no way slagging the man off ffs, i am just saying many have said he has dipped slightly. I am not saying we should drop him as he is imo our best performer currently. We need him in order for the team to function as he holds the ball up, scores goals, disrupts defences and lays on assists. All i am saying is that many have said he is looking lethargic. Could this be because of his virus or because he is perhaps training too hard ?? Many of the most fit players need a rest occasionally. I am saying can we get away with resting him for a game or two to ensure he does not become completely jaded ?? FFS some people can't wait to jump on other posters backs are they ??

I am not slagging him of, just trying to understand the reasons why thats all

Pittman ?? I can't see paterson as being here a lot longer TBH
-
I don't think i have ever agreed with the echo's assessment............. ever TBH they should just take the player ratings from this site like they gain all of their breaking news
-
Have not been to the games since he has apparantly started to decline a little in his match performances. Although i am not in a position to comment on the way he has been playing, if reports are to be believed he seems a little more lethargic etc than usual. I was wondering, i know that he was ill for a few games but he has probably got over that now. AP has worked hard with rickie on his fitness which has been very much publicised, so as much as it has obviously paid off do you think that it has started to have a bit of a negative effect ?? I mean he has played every game as far as i can remember, rarely gets subbed off and if he is working hard in the gym, he may be becoming jaded ?? Any thoughts ??

As someone said on here i think it comes down to him just being used to playing at higher levels then he is here. The timing of his runs are probably dependant on the midfielders etc releasing the balls early and seeing the runs he is making, that they are obviously doing too late or perhaps as others have said, the lino's just get it wrong. He is bloody quick, plus stands on the shoulder most of the game, he will get the odd one wrong but i cannot believe he was offside 10 times or whatever last night. Having run the line, sometimes you do miss things and when you see a massive distance between the man and defender of course you think 'sh*t, he must be offside' I remember talking to a mate who's dad was a well respected ex coach, he spent time at Wolves and gave Ince a boll*cking as he was playing through balls that were just being missed by the other players and then berating them for being sh*t etc etc. So it does make a difference the level you are used to. Stick with him, he is quick, he works hard and gives us a definate edge. Far better than antonio imo
-
Yeah agreed, the boy has really blossomed and has brought extra dimensions to his game, or has just been given the needed lift from AP. As for james, i like him, he delivers a good cross, can pass a ball and is not bad in the tackle, ok, he is not particularly quick but it p*sses me off people getting on his back.

I have faith we will make the playoffs. Even if we don't i feel that we will be heading in the right direction for next year. I am not negative however my minimum expectation for this season would be to re build a team ready to march towards the CCC next season, imo we have done that, bar perhaps a few more signings. A fantastic finish for me would be playoffs, and as i have said before, it is not beyond the realms of impossibility at all.
-
Think we will be ok, as for arizona, this isn't the worst post that could have been brought up, i remember a couple about his ability, some of the posts on there were pretty shocking. Still, nice to see J Bizzle voice of footballing reason and only SWF poster to ever play the game was speaking out of his *rse. I don't think he will leave, he seems to love the saints, fair play to him. Another thing to consider is his sell on clause, 25% to bournemouth that will take a dent out of things.

No, only players you register can play, but surely you won't need to use more than 25 ?? plus as i said, under 21's don't need to be registered they can still play -
Channel 4 programme, cast offs, what the f*ckidy f*ck is this

He makes things happen and has had his hand in many goals this season IMO, he frustrates and scares defenders. Yes the offsides are bloody annoying but i have faith he will sort them. Not just that but he is obviously in attacking positions.

http://hobnob.royals.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=94658 Lol, personally i agree, i think they are doing a saints. But i think they may just get away with it. They are pretty toothless up front, bad at the back, but play decent football. Their chairman is apparantly broke, and admin whispers appearing. Sound familiar ??
-
Think about the lift this has given us as fans, just to see the team outside of the relegation zone. Hopefully the players will be feeling this and hopefully play with even more enthusiasm. It could be a real start to our year now. I am still hopeful, we can make the playoffs.

He has transformed into a real little gem, he oviously had the talent. Him and lallana too, seem to have both profited from AP. Wonder what all the slater's are saying now.
