My season ticket holding son must be a sucker for punishment, 3 hour door to stadium each way on Wednesday ( now that he’s moved from Southampton) and getting the train to Aston Villa today. AV nearly 3 years ago and losing 4 0 was the start of our decline after doing well that season up til then, if we beat AV today (highly unlikely) could be the start of a new positive phase? (grasping at straws, deluded etc) 🤞😩

He wouldn't be a bad squad option by any means but it's just a move that makes sense given the circumstances.
