We'll have more than enough defensively to stave off any real relegation threat.
-
Would only make 1 change from Palace: ----------------------FF-------------------- --Cedric-----Yoshi-----Hoedt---Bertrand-- ------------Romeu---Lemina-------------- --Redmond------Davis---------Gabbi---- -------------------Long------------------- Subs: Alex Mc, VVD, Stephens, JWP, Boufal, Tadic, Austin(if fit). 1-1.

The Under 23's have won 2 league games in the past YEAR, and one of those was against Reading a few weeks back who had mainly under 18's on the pitch. The games they are losing are convincing defeats too. I'm sure Les Reed thinks Hunter/Jaidi etc are great guys and good coaches blah blah blah but surely at some point he needs to sit down with them and ask 'what the hell is going on'? After Saturday, same with the first team too. At least with Cortese, as much of a bastard that he was, he didn't accept sub-standard performances on a regular basis. He created an 'on-edge' atmosphere but if you weren't good enough, you were out. Too many players appear to be 'comfortable' at the moment.

The lack of pace in that team is frightening. I'd go: ----------------------McCarthy----------------- ---------Stephens-----Hoedt-----VVD-------- --Cedric--------------------------------Bertrand-- ---------------Romeu----Lemina----------------- ---------------------Davis----------------------- ---------------Gabbi-------Long---------------- Not a massive Long fan but he at least has the ability to stretch defences and he's decent enough in the air. Boufal, Redmond and Tadic haven't done enough (the latter two in particular) when given the opportunity.
-
Pellegrino out.
-
Oh do stfu.
-
Yep, would go with that side (With Stephens over Yoshida). Redmond's a very important player for us, considering the lack of pace elsewhere in the team. Quite often, when he plays well, we do in general.
-
Various managers that have made him captain several times in his career disagree.
-
Are they still sticking with the 'definitely not to Liverpool' policy?
-
---------------------------McCarthy----------------------- --Pied-----------Bednarek----------Yoshi---------Targett-- ------------------Hojbjerg----------JWP-------------------- --Long---------------------Boufal-----------------McQueen-- ----------------------------Austin----------------------------- Wouldn't risk Lemina after Noble's 'tackle'.
-
3 at the back: -------------------Forster------------------ --------Stephens--VVD--Hoedt---------- --Cedric--------------------------Bertrand-- -------------Lemina---Romeu--------------- -----Redmond------------------Boufal------ ------------------Gabbiadini---------------- Not sure it would work.
-
Oh for f*cks sake.
-
Forster Cedric Stephens Yoshida Bertrand Romeu Lemina Boufal Davis Redmond Gabbiadini
-
Jamie Redknapp's a c)nt.
-
At 19, it would be nice to see him get some regular game time this season so a loan move maybe best.
-
Assuming Lemina won't come straight in: Forster Cedric Stephens Yoshida Bertrand Romeu Davis Redmond JWP Boufal Gabbiadini Subs: Taylor, Pied, Bednarek, PEH, Lemina, Tadic, Austin
-
Got no issue with him wanting to move to a bigger club (which Liverpool obviously are) and better himself, but it's the way he and that club have gone about it which results in so much animosity.
-
Ideally yes, but I can't see us getting another one in.
-
Good news. Just need to sort out the CB situation now.
-
That last one reminds me of an Everton fan outside SMS after we beat them last season: "F_cking hate these bunch prawn sandwich Tories"
-
Probably should get rid of him then if he was playing CB in a team that conceded 5 goals against Hamble!
-
Can't really see us finishing higher than 8th again to be honest, unless we get off to a storming start and the momentum builds. A lot will obviously hinge on the takeover, though.
-
No issue with us signing another CB, just want to see Stephens remain in the side. He's getting better and better with increasing game time and deserves to keep his place, whether that's alongside Van Dijk or a new signing.
-
How does selling one player who couldn't get near the team on a regular basis last season = weaker squad?
-
I think you missed the joke.
