Snderland were probably the best side defensively at St Mary's last season. Cuellar especially didn't give Lambert a sniff. Hopefully it's different this time around.
Being a cautious optimist, I'll go for a 2-1 win.
Fonte and Lambert again to score. Osvaldo to get 20 minutes at the end and set-up the winner.

Osvaldo meeting with his reps in the next few hours - we remain 'confident'
I wasn't there but a couple of people have said that the talk was that the club are 'in discussions with a striker' or at least 'in the hunt for a striker'. So nothing new there really.

A fresh start of new things to come!

Hoping to get more of a chance this season than last!!! Only time will tell
Probably means nothing but you never know...
Should imagine just more competition for the current Cork-Spiderman positions.
Davis I suspect will be competing with Ramirez for the No 10 slot with Ward-Prowse/Schneiderlin pushing into that role on occasion?
From his Wikipedia page:
"On 2 March 2008, Osvaldo headed in a cross from teammate Papa Waigo to give Fiorentina a 3–2 win in stoppage time over fierce rivals Juventus"
Have a word Papa - get him on side! (actually, with Waigo that'd be hard)
