  1. Just got back from Portsmouth Eastleigh (as part of work expierence I had to be a camera man) right in with the Skate crowd. Portsmouth totally dominated every department Eastleigh had one shot all game which they scored a header.
  2. So if Alan Pardew loses two games in a row he should be sacked. God some of our fans are a joke.
  3. Thats the equilivant of when we struggled against a league one side when we were in the premiership or a league two side when we were in the CCC. It's a bit silly to read too much into things, Pardew needs to look where we need to improve and deadwood these games are fantastic for that reason. Strengthen the area's which need to be strengthened no doubt if we had confidently beaten Salisbury then we'd think "fine no need to change things". I'm not reading too much into things, we have 4 goalkeepers and if we don't need Poke we could easily sell him. And frankly the likes of Wotton and Lancashire aren't very good (give credit for Wottons slide rule pass against Ajax) but thats about the only contribution I've ever seen him do. And Lancashire looks more suited to Wessex league level frankly. If Saga isn't up for it we don't need to keep him and his wages we can do better and get someone with a bit of pace I think our star might be Kayne Mcglaggon (sp) when he gets back he looked very good last year and will score goals if used this season.
  4. So you were that nutter in the Northam that got carted off after 5 minutes against Ajax?!
  5. I was reading up on Glenn Hoddles academy and they seem to be beating good division two sides & the occasional La Liga side. Surely if we could get a scout look at one or two of these players they'd be able to play in this league. With the added assurance they've been working hard at the technical side of their game at the academy and training non-stop. Recently a few of the players have been snapped up by Spanish sides and the work is paying off. I've heard good things about James Simmonds and Michael Noone.
  6. Really annoying when people do this. It's almost as if they're saying "FFS SAKE WE CAN'T BEAT AJAX THIS IS ****" I really enjoyed watching Southampton and certainly Ajax were a joy to watch, their slow patient build up and the use of the width and the performance of Luis Suarez in particular really should be shown on tape again to our players. We lacked that composure on the ball and that willingness to close down straight away like they did, and hopefully our team will learn alot from this game. It's good we threatened them at times when we showed some ambition.
  7. I saw some idiot in the Northam get chucked out in the first 5 minutes.. And some old **** dressed up as a blues brother these people weren't even watching the game just constantly gesturing towards the Ajax lot who were pretty funny.
  8. Okay thoughts on the game. Kelvin Davies was fantastic today as per usual, although the second goal he really should have done better on, but that had more to do with Molyneux's inept defending style of not even attempting to close down Suarez who could have had a cup of tea and a cigarette and Molyneux still wouldn't have challenged him. Joseph Mills was superb I thought, in terms of work rate and getting up and down and challenges he's really up for the challenge, he still makes the odd mistake as their third goal showed when he almost scored an own goal, but he reminds me of a left back Simon Gillet with lots of energy and enthusiasm and just needs a bit more belief in himself, also really really fantastic at sliding challenges. Graeme Murty was solid he looks a bit out of shape but he seems very dependable he doesn't do alot of things wrong, he'll be an asset in league one. Paul Wotton seems to look more like a pub footballer in a Saints shirt, occasionally makes a challenge infront of the defence but we always look worse with him in the side, because all he seems capable of doing is hoofing it and fouling, I didn't see him play one good pass. Really hope we can get someone whose more capable. Rasiak looked his usual self and was totally isolated upfront however he won a few in the air and held up the ball well at times, he seemed a bit more enthusiastic we really need to support him better if we're going to use him as a target man. Most of the time it was him against four Ajax defenders. Molyneux had a really bad game, as soon as Rommedahl came on he looked clueless which is perhaps to be expected but his positioning and tackling was inept. Lloyd James didn't get involved at all, but he didn't have a terrible game. Wayne Thomas was one of the standout performers and was really looking good in the first half. Lallana was a bit quite but looked good on the ball. The squad still isn't match fit as the 60th minute mark came alot of the players were huffing and puffing, much to Ajax superb slow patient build ups and use of the full backs and width.
  9. Oh, well so sorry that Guus Hiddink and Mourinho weren't available to take up the best job in er league one.
  10. Ajax beat Bristol City 4-0 I'll be expecting us to get a solid 6-1 thumping.
  11. July 28th Centre Midfield & left wing
  12. I'm sorry but most of them won't join right now in league one, and mentioning Philips,Giggs, Cambell, Larsson! is complete fantasy, as for Lucketti and Unsworth and Windass they're likely possibilities.
  13. Thats absolute bull****. The interviews are still going on, and there's a 4th candidate added onto the list of the original 3, Marcus is looking into this very deeply.
  14. Coppell will be hired on Tuesday.
  15. I'm in as much of a limbo as you lot all I know is I asked if if the 3 being interviewed had solid credentials and my friend said yes and one was a former manager and one was from abroad German I believe. I then asked what about this Tony Adams rumour, and my source just cracked up saying "Marcus wouldn't hire an imcompentant manager in a million years, why do you think he got rid of Wotte, Marcus wants a manager whose had previous success at a certain level" Now read into that what you will. I think everyone is scaremongering and not engaging the brain beforehand, Wotte is a more competant manager than Adams and thats saying something. My sources were right on the takeover and the foreign owners coming in when Pinnacle bid was faltering. If I was a betting man which I'm not I'd put a few quid on Coppell.
  16. It's not gonna happen. You lot are getting worked up over something which hasn't got any facts to it. I've got a good idea who the new manager WILL be and it certainly isn't Tony Adams, they're speaking to 3 candidates and he's not on that list.
  17. My sources are fairly terrible, just my friend seems to think he's in the know to be fair he got it right about the takeover by the Swiss. But he's been wrong in the past, I think it was more an estimated guess by him. But I hope it has some truth in it.
  18. Baird - won't come back and will want CCC football. Size - YES, wants to come back. Hasan Yakin - You're having a ****ing laugh? Beckford - wants to leave Leeds to play for a bigger club, he's sick of league one football. Loans? - Rumour has it we're looking at Lansbury to loan for next season.
  19. We definitely need a left back now Molyneaux, Surman, Skacel have gone, someone whose slightly experienced so Joseph Mills can perhaps come in for a few games. If we can get Size again our centre of defence should be fine, however I believe maybe one tall centre back who is 22-30 would help as Chris Perry is getting on a fair bit. Strengthen from the back so we have a solid foundation. Not forgetting Wayne Thomas will be solid at this level. Lancashire too it will be sink or swim for him, but the left back area is the priority. Right back we're fine in with Lloyd James being a very good player and hopefully Murty too. Midfield I think we'll be good in with Gillet, Morgan Morgan Schneiderlin, Euell, and hopefully Lallana (if he stays), Jake Thompson has plenty of potential. I'm unsure if keeping Wotton is a good thing, his passing is woeful we always look lackluster when he plays, he's about as mobile as a 3 legged camel. We're better off using a youngster instead of him. Lee Holmes will be a key asset in this league if he's fit. Maybe Gobern might fit into the role of centre midfielder perfectly this season he's looked a bit hit and miss. But we need some other players perhaps a backup centre mid with a bit of flair if Lallana goes, and possibly a winger. For strikers with Kayne Mcglaggon (sp) - Stern John - Saga - Rasiak and maybe even BWP we should really be scoring alot of goals which is why a good creative midfeilder is really needed to give them the ammunition. Someone to take corners and set pieces too. So overall key areas LEFT BACK. RIGHT LEFT WING. CENTRE BACK CENTRE MIDFIELD.
  20. This is taken from someone writing on the always arguementative Echo comment section.. "saintsliveon wrote: from what i understand the Swiss have no idea how to run a footbal club and in fact are not interested in the club only the land opportunity. The Harris consortium were talking to Fry before Pinnacle but he kept ignoring them. Harris represents true football people with real money and real passion for SFC. why does Fry keep extending deadlines when the others are ready to go. something doesnt add up. I hope thats a windup.
  21. They're probably setting up the press conference for 3 PM.
  22. That was almost impossible to read.
  23. Who* think. What I don't understand is why would the Swiss lot want out club they're clearly very successful business people but, we're in league one - 10 points. And how could they make money out of our club? Surely there's something that I'm not seeing.
  24. Heard some news that they'll be a press conference lined up on Wednesday if it all goes to plan tomorrow. But this isn't 100% my sources are people to think they're in the know.. So don't shoot the messenger.
