  1. Apologies, my bad! I totally missed that point. Which is actually, in my estimation, why it didn't happen. They don't really want to relinquish control.
  2. If the obvious thought is one that you have in mind then I can't help but agree with you. I think it's all about control.
  3. Lowe and Wilde are understood to have refused Crouch’s offer. But they did give him the chance to stump up all the cash himself, promising they would resign and leave him to run the club if he did. Nothing mentioned about their shares? So they would resign and, at any given moment, collude (via their shareholding) to remove Crouch. And they thought he'd go for that? Perricks!
  4. LC said “I thought mine was a good proposal – it would have enabled us to get rid of our overdraft and give ourselves a fighting chance of bringing in some experienced players and an experienced English manager" So one must presume that the other two declined any of his proposals? Which makes me wonder what it is exactly that the two clowns are doing in charge of the club! Wipe out an overdraft, is that about £6m? Plus the, presumably, crippling interest on it? A fighting chance of bringing in some experienced players? Presumably his proposal meant they would have been able to raise an amount to do this? An experienced English manager? again this might well have cost a bit. So what, exactly, was the flaw in his proposal? Maybe he wanted a bigger say and the two clowns wanted him to remain marginalised? That makes me think it's all about control. Couple of fools, in my honest opinion, with not a care about the business in reality. God help us.
  5. I do hope you're right with that last sentence. However, don't hold your breath because you know how this club has a fantastic knack for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory!
  6. California Ballroom, Dunstable. Memories?
  7. :smt005 I didn't mean that many! Just the odd ones!
  8. I see your point. We'd escaped relegation, had a manager that most of us were content to see forge ahead in the coming season (maybe even a little confidence?) but Rupert knew what was best for the club (and us). My, haven't we come a long way! I had infinitely more confidence in us last season than I do now. And that bliddy well hurts.
  9. Do you reckon this might force the immigrants to return to the U.K. ?
  10. Tues 27th = Norwich away L Sat 31st = Swansea home D if we're lucky! Tues 3rd Feb = Sheff Utd home L Sat 7th Feb = Watford away L
  11. What's his name? Is it Hockaday by any chance?
  12. Missed out by 3 hours and 33 minutes. Close, well relatively so.
  13. A la Johnnie et Fergie? :smt078
  14. What! Not even Der Fuhrer standing by to ensure that the party line is adhered to? Aaah! They'll probably have the guy there that asked Dave Armstrong to leave, that'll ensure compliance.
  15. Well known boxing commentator Reg Gutteridge has passed away after a short illness. He was 82. No further information at this moment.
  16. Tenuous link #1 Dutch>clogs>galoshes>goulash>Hungarians Where's my coat?

  21. Even a doting Mother sometimes has to slap their child's legs at some stage, not that I'm advocating physical chastisement of a child.
  22. I wonder if Norwich are bricking it right now? Next home game is against a team, and club, in freefall and with a new manager! Meh! that might work for every other team, but certainly not for us!
  23. Do one legged ducks swim in circles? Does a bear crap in the woods? And no, he's far from stupid. In my humble opinion devious, blinkered, arrogant, focused, intractable etc. but certainly not stupid. His previous mentioned flaws however detract from his being open to suggestion which may make people think he's stupid. I dislike him intensely for what he is doing to our club, in fact it really feels like it's already no longer our club!
  24. Sorry mate but I really think that you are extremely naive in thinking that with Lowe in charge this is the final insult. There are many, many more to come.
