  1. If our lads were in amy doubt as to what this meant to the Bompey fans then this single event must have confirmed it. I bet NA couldn't believe his luck, to have a pre match pep talk presented on a plate! As to Lee Bradbury trying to assert that this fixture is as much of a rivalry as us V skates? What was he on? If any Bompey fans are reading and feeling a little low you can contact the Samaritans on 0800 202031 that's 2-0, 2-0, 3-1. That is all.
  2. Fair play to you pal. It still would be good for both teams to go up. Which, with Brighton, would mean the skates not getting at least 18 points next season.
  3. Hope & Pray it's not a Dell.
  4. Thanks mack. Leave us to ponder if we'll get promoted so that you can worry if you are going to have a club to support.
  5. The powers that be will advance them the third lot of parachute money, £8m. Then in 2012/13 the next lot. After that? So it might be a little more protracted than we envisage or had hoped for.
  6. We have changed our printer and I have a set of unopened Epson Compatibles here going to waste. One Multipack (4 colours) and three black. These are for Epson Stylus C64/66/84/84N/84WN/86/ CX3600/3650/4600/6400/6600 Free to whoever can collect from here. Mail: eastleighsoulboy@gmail.com
  7. Agree with you Duncan. The thing is that if we win at Bompey it will not be all over. We will need to keep winning until the end of he season to overtake Huddersfield. To do that we still need to improve. With all respect to Yeovil they are no great shakes and yet with effort and passion they managed to close us down time and time again. We seemed, at times , to lack the nous. If we can't play out from the back then the only other option is over the top. Feck the pretty football if it's not working! And when we do give KD the ball then I'd at least expect the players to moving about to give him options. Even at throw ins it seemed that nobody wanted the ball. This points back to something you raised in another thread, midfield general, we need one. Someone barking at the rest, chiding, encouraging. The last guy I saw do it was Wotton in a ressy game at Staplewood! Having said that, both Toomer and I were surprised that KD actually found his voice last night. None of the teams currently vieing for 2nd are going to give up easily. Let's not be the ones to blink first! Feeling more optimistic than maybe my constructive criticism describes.
  8. SC , interviewed on Solent, says that they cannot go on just having loans. That they need more permanent players. Just wonder if he's totally happy with the scenario?
  9. If they are not football debts the surely, as such, they should be treated like all the other debts? I.E. paid @ 20p (yeah right) in the pound. The club cannot now say this debt can be set over or above those debts they owe to this country or the general public. These debts, like the rest, should be paid pro rata. Therefore the extra (some 80%) should be accounted for in the C.V.A. Of course that's not going to happen is it?
  10. Watched the Peterborough highlights also. Mackail Smith for us in the summer please Messrs Adkins & Cortese.
  11. Isn't there a clause in their C.V.A. which allows for increased payments to creditors should their finances improve during the course of the C.V.A.?
  12. Just a while ago, while the match was still on.
  13. Jeff, I took a conscious decision to not renew. I did this knowing that I would be limited to 3 posts a day. So I have to be a little judicious with my usage. This tends to keep me well away from commenting (most of the time) on the trolling, fascist, right wing Nazi idiot threads on here, although I do read them still. As far as I'm aware I have never had infractions but I was sometimes getting close to them and so wound up that at one stage I was hoping to meet one poster and then break the law. That poster, oddly enough, would not be aware who she/he is. Let the conspiracy theory abound! It's all very easy for people to say it's only the internet but when you perceive people 'getting away with murder' you do seriously ask why get involved. Transparency over infractions should be the way forward I think, as you and Trousers say, like Saint_clark I can't see it happening. Another conspiracy theory methinks but, like infractions, does not need to be in the open.
  14. Is winding up different from liquidation? I ask because, closer to home, we had this.
  15. A great one to wake up to!
  16. Altruism? Just a thought, I know it might be an alien line of logic but why not? PS, despite my not subscribing, thanks Baj and Granty!
  17. During our lean spell in the Swindon match my colleague next to me commented that he thinks the job is too big for Adkins. I never got him to explain his logic. I think I'm actually seeing his point now. Worried? Meh, it's just football. Concerned for the team I love and the ramifications of missing promotion? You bet I am!
  18. I get that. But it doesn't cost me £5 a year!
  19. Has anybody slit their wrists yet?
  20. The article mentions open wounds which reminds me that pcfc are themselves an open sore on the face of football, slowly eating away at it. Problem is that nobody in charge wishes to administer euthanasia to the Corp(se).
  21. I think you found the easy target first time round?
  22. The dimensions of the pitch have been debated by esteemed posters 'in another place'. One good fellow, the erstwhile Herbie Taylor, club tour guide and EA Sports Fan of the Year 2010, reproduced the regulations regarding pitch sizes after another fine fellow, and poster on here, actually proposed that he thought the pitch had been narrowed recently. Please note the highlighted piece. Do you think we would have had dispensation to alter the pitch during the course of a season, were our circumstances 'exceptional enough'? Official Football League regulations. Herbie:
  23. Alf Ramsey Peter Osgood John McGrath
  24. This. Sadly. Having said that, the singing did seem to get going around the ground more often than other games. Sitting in the Chapel it was quite noticeable and enjoyable.
  25. What about a mug with a .22?
