  1. Nah. Sell them all and get 2 in.
  2. Cheers. Fingers crossed then. Unlikely to gossip I guess.
  3. Hmmm....dont follow this podcast so who is the bloke who said "yes"? Why would he know anything? Very easy to say there is still interested parties without really "knowing".
  4. Not aware of any link to Swansea. Just think he should be sold. As with a few others๐Ÿ˜‚
  5. Sell him. Better to get 5 to 10m now than worry about whether we have "let one go". We won't have. He will turn into a journeyman of Akinfenwe stylee...very bulky up top and powerful runner. Lower league career I expect.
  6. Cedric 1.72m KWP 1.74m Perraud 1.73m Bertrand 1.79m Not really an issue I'd suggest.
  7. At the fee quoted we've probably done well if he's better than Targett!!
  8. I'm 50:50 on selling Ings this summer possibly for as little as 20m. The argument that we would be better off losing him for nothing because by having him for a season would supposedly guarantee PL status and income is flawed because of his injury record. It's the gamble between keep and lose for free or sell and have to replace and hope we stay up. Net spend on a replacement this summer maybe less than 10m. Net spend if we let him go for free would likely need to be 20m+. If signs an extension brilliant. If not, sell now imo. The players we need to sell to pool funds are - all 3 keepers - Vestergaard (and possibly Bednatek too) - Redmond - Djeneppo And the others not involved last season. Selling JWP makes no sense unless it is a stupid fee - over 60m.
  9. Value very different to selling price. With 4 years and only 26 and fitness levels and ability if we were to sell for less than 60m it would be a very bad move.
  10. Maybe, maybe not. Still equates to state we're in. The reasons for no investment are irrelevant. We need someone or a group that can deliver a long term investment and development plan.
  11. When he was signed on loan I thought it could be good. Because of the FA Cup, the loan rule he was then in and out of tbe team and I think that disrupted his start. I would be ok with him returning as I think he can add some goals (unlike Redmond or Djeneppo, both of whom I'd look to move on), but cant help thinking that we need someone better. Perhaps selling Redmond and Djeneppo and getting one permanent and Minamino would be good.
  12. What day does the window shut?
  13. If you're commenting in response to my team....then I agree, he won't start. But I think he should for many reasons. As for the pint or two....try Porter1872......I doubt you can handle more than 3...maybe even 2๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
  14. Yeah I think Southgate has his favourites. I'd be happy to see this line up Pope or Henderson James Stones Coady Shaw Rice JWP Grealish Sancho Foden (fluid 3) Kane
  15. Haha!! I just think that for "free" (depending on wages) he would be a great addition. There's There's very good player in there somewhere!!
  16. I'd take Benteke
  17. The problem is this. He flatters to decieve. He very rarely creates anything of note. He often gives the ball away. His running with the ball is rarely with any intent to go past an opposition player. His scoring rate is poor. The reason I want him to be sold is, other than the factors just mentioned, is that he is extremely unlikely (if at all) to get any better. We need a fresh talent in his position.
  18. To be fair we do not know that he is earning that. It is pure speculation. But you're not far wrong otherwise! Bad move by the club
  19. I'm guessing Lampard will go there and he will no doubt source quite a few players from Chelsea, either cheaply or on loan and hence reducing their outlay this summer. It's a good comparison.
  20. That is true in terms of clearing the decks but then it does require a chunk of change to rebuild!
  21. So come next summer we could be without any first team GK. AM and FF could leave on frees and Gunn may already be gone. Brilliant planning. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
  22. On the basis that the club only has at best 20-30m (plus sales) it is going to take some very shred signings to guarantee safety next season. As it stands we are going to be struggling to compete any higher up than we finished. We saw how the end of season form of Sheffield Utd carried into the start of this season. I fear this is a distinct possibility for us next season unless we see 4 or 5 significant improvements. This seems unlikely from a 40-50m type budget. We need to find 4 or 5 players in the 15-25m bracket (slight depression of the market allowed for) rather than 4 or 5 players in the 5-15m bracket. And so I think Gao should take whatever he gets offered (within reason) this summer as next summer we could easily be in the championship and the value of the club and business would be significantly less. Invest 50-75m plus or take a hit of 50-75m..... He clearly can't do the first option.
  23. I agree. Many times I've thought he was experimenting. Almost like a constant experiment... The board should experiment with a different manager as much as I think RH is a decent man.
  24. Vestergaard is a good/decent player....just needs Romeu/equivalent in front of him and someone better alongside, probably Salisu as doubt we will sell Bwdnarek and Stephens to get a new one! And then we need a LB in the style of KWP and a decent keeper
  25. Massive changed needed.
