  1. he's a left-back so very unlikely!!
  2. Agree Chez....the club will definitely have sold some full season tickets on the basis that half tickets wont be available!
  3. The maths is to do with the difference in ST prices form last year. If I read your earlier post right you said the increase had priced people out. It is based on a single ticket price but sure, a family will have to find a higher "lump". Ive gone through my thinkings weeks ago on another thread about payments but I will concede that a few people will have been affected. I still dont think that the club should take all the blame. The pricing is actually very reasonable....maybe the lack of installment plan was a blow but other methods and planning are/were available (not going to go into detail again) and the "window" could have been longe
  4. The OS quote is "Season ticket sales are now well past the 13,000 mark, far in excess of the total number from last year*which also included half season ticket sales" so unless the club are lying 13500 is a figure that appeared from outside the club. DBP you truly are a ridiculous example of human being. Just accept that you were wrong and move on. Seems fair to assume that we may reach at least 15,000 ST holders by the start of the season. However you choose to spin it to attempt to stop looking so stupid, the pricing structure, payment methods, and purchasing window HAS NOT culled the the enthusiasm of Saints fans. IF any fan now can't afford their ticket from last season (chez) I think it's unfortunate but in no way should the club be blamed. If what equates to roughly £2-3 per week is the difference then that persons finances suggest that they maybe shouldn't go anyway. The true success os the pricing structure will be seen throughout the season when attendances Im sure will "easily exceed last years average"!!! If I had to guess I would go for 24k+!!!!! Can't wait for next seasons "advertising and marketing campaign"!!
  5. I can see why you may feel that but I reckon it's PR because the corporate hospitality side of the business has been awful for a couple of seasons and I would guess a he'll of a lot of "bridge-building" is required with companies. It's relatively easy to sell 15000 STs compared to 40 Boxes for the season.

    Lloyd James

good luck to him...an average league one team for an average league one player...always looked like he was giving his best for Saints.
  7. The dates not that surprising, I'm sure he would have a reasonable notice period. Sounds like a great appointment but am amazed that DBP didn't get the role, after all he knows everything about everything!!
  8. Another free transfer missed out on.....Joe Cole signed for Liverpool. C'mon NC and AP sort it out!!
  9. Perfectly summed up!
  10. The quote is that he'll miss the "start of the campaign". Suspect they were waiting for confirmation on severity.
  11. Could think of worse people involved with Saints!!
  12. yeah from our point of view that would make sense but at his age surely he would want longer?
  13. Back up keeper as well?!!!!
  14. interesting that its only one year. Suppose hes getting a good wedge and will only stay as long as we go up!
  15. great signing....and loving the 1125pm announcements!
  16. No you didnt. as your too lazy to expand your thoughts ....why should we be worried right NOW? If we make no more signings by the close of the window then yes, I will be very worried. Transfers can take time and negotiation. I suspect we wont be the only club interested in our targets so patience is the virture.
  17. S-Clarke, heres my thinking why we need "a few more players" Centre backs......Fonte and Jaidi first choice but Seaborne and Martin are at absolute best average League One. Think Martin will be good though but isnt yet. So, ONE CENTRE-BACK required as good as F&J Right Back....only Richardson available...Harding could do the odd game but not a long stint...ONE RIGHT BACK Centre Mid.....Hammond and Morgan are good but IMHO we need a tough tackling ball winner...Wotton is not that...ok as fourth/fifth choice. No one else in the squad. ONE CENTRE MID Striker.....Pardew is on record as saying we need someone similar to Lambert. OX-Cham will I suspect be used more up the right. Connolly it could be argued is injury prone! ONE STRIKER Goalkeeper....Without Bart we only have Forecast...I honestly cant comment on his ability so we maybe need another GK So I reckon we need at least 3 quality signings and maybe a gk and maybe a right winger. potentially that is 7 signings over the summer.
  18. List your reasons why we SHOULD be worried and then maybe we can comment.
  19. Why SHOULD I be worried? Give us your reasons and then we can comment.
  20. Fonte for me as he will (baring injuries) be first on the team sheet I expect. Hopefully Hammond wont play every week because we will have signed someone better!!
  21. We havent seen the whole letter so cant really comment on the overall "tone". I just like the fact that hes willing o go against the grain when he feels it is right to do so. We really are in safe hands.
  22. Love it...a chairman who is not afraid to stand up for what he thinks is right!!!
  23. There you go again speaking for others. Proof please....quotes or written testamonies will surfice. Yor reason is your reason and thats fine, but if I were you I wouldn't buy a season ticket to meet up with mates, forget about work, have a few beers and a bit of a laugh.....I'd go down the pub like I do anyway. You portray yourself as the big I know it all fan yet when stating your reason for going to watch Saints, any aspect of the team or football doesn't come into it. pathetic. And for once I suspect I AM speaking on behalf of the majority! I go to football to watch the football...and hopefully see my team thrash the opposition. Having a few beers and a laugh with mates is part of it but for 90 minutes it isnt the important bit or the reason I spend the money. If it wasnt Id sit in the pub watching Soccer Saturday.
