assumin we get promoted - good enough then sharps a good buy, not good enough at 1.8m its money well spent to provide at worst good championship cover to get us promoted. dont get promoted - deffo good enough to score many goals alone (if lambert is sold) or alonside lambert or when lambert is injured. OP simply does not raise a good question. At 1.8m SHarp was a very sensible buy

its not ok to publicly express your opinion via twitter but its ok to spout about it on an internet forum - go figure! That said i also cant stand certain things on facebook etc when couples talk to each other about how amazing they are publicly - i find it crass but each to their own i guess. The lallana comparison is interesting, a player who hot nothing but support through his leaner patch. However if you don't rate gully I suppose it doesn't look like a lean patch. I sat at a reading home game recently where kebe was treated exactly the same. It seems fans have expectations for some players that are not the sane as others. I think cork has been off the boil s bit but he's not treated the same way due to some perceived effort and sideways passing. Guly dies represent options to Adkins and a few moments of class and thus provides the mix he's looking for which has us tip of the league. Agree or disagree I couldn't give a monkeys but I do know that there is only one way to bring the best out of this player and it's to support him during the game

Best team naaaa but in terms of excitement it has to be up there, great run from league one, real team spirit, young positive and realistically inexoerienced manager doing really well, great talisman in Ricky all leafs to great fun as a saints fan for sure.

having watched it on the bbc its not a red for me. deffo yellow but players not far around given how far the attacher boots the ball in front of him. Dunno what that means in terms of if it should be upheld but the way i see it is that it wasnt a red so he shouldnt be banned. Cant believe thetve got 7 from 9 after going down to 10 in all three of their last games!

The russians come in at reading firmly in line with madeski which means not splashing out big time and building a self sustaining club - good on em both really. As for Mcdermot staying being such a great idea just have a look at what happend to the manager that got them to the play offs last year! Personally can understand why hes staying though. Love that we have a manager that is widely recognised as doing a good job but never too high up lists to go to other clubs. Maybe hes a bit unfasionable, maybe its cause saints are on the up but either way im not complaining!

For a man who is very keen on a left and right footed pairing at centre back having a left footed right back is strange, especially with a rb on the bench. For me the first few minutes set the tone and the situation at right back was crucial in this. Is there a similarity about the way Doncaster and Leicester have approached us? High up pressing? As for the typical wums it's boring.

Alpine- my two pence is simple. Treat the match threads as match threads. they are for people to enjoy tje match that cannot be there for whatever reason. Many people know were having a bad run but don't want it every other post as either your negative comment our an abusive response to it. That can go on elsewhere. It may be at the point where people respond ott and that is not right but it is self inflicted so understand the reaction your posts currently draw and post accordingly. The match thread is for the match. Post match discussion and interesting topics however negative can be started for people to dip in and out of as they choose but I feel bird of match threads now due to you and people's response to you. Whilst it is easy to say everyone can have an opinion that is simply childish and frankly dumb, if i was constantly racist onatch threads I would rightly be told off and banned. Clearly your not doing anything that bad but it illustrates my point that whilst you can have a point of view you are an adult and should appreciate how other people use the site. I enjoy having people with different view points so wouldn't want you to go but let me have a match day thread about the match.

Hard to see past Morgan really, class on the ball and a bit of bite too. De ridder worked hard and made a few good covering tackles to add to his threat. Jos never threatened and was excellent. My special mention goes to fox who kept zaha in his pocket all second half and got fwd as needed too. Poor guly- 2 goals in s 2 nil and hardly a mention!!
