I don't understand why people want/think Lee Holmes should be let go, he's had a hard season in terms of injuries but when he came into the team for a few games he was our best player and AP spoke very highly of him. If he can stay fit he could be our surprise package next year imo

McSheffery was poor for Leeds this season, but he's the sort of player he maybe just needs an arm around the shoulder and a fresh start. Certainly worth taking him on trial imo. Same with Quedrue - can't he play at RB?

I've only just got in and I am so relieved to read these comments from NC. I will no longer assume the worst, which is saying something as a saints fan! I haven't read all of the comments but I get the feeling that a few people are annoyed at what NC has said about Matty. I must say I think it slightly foolish of Nicola to criticise someone who many fans consider to be a southampton God. At then end of the day Matty was only trying to save the club he loved in the summer and he wasn't aware of the trouble it would cause. MLT, LM and KK were only giving their opinions after being asked a question, and it was unnecessary for NC to take a dig at them. HOWEVER this is the only negative point of a very astute and positive summing up of the season, and I would like to once again thank NC and ML for their fabulous work in saving our club. I cannot wait for next season to begin and I will give Cortese, Pardew and the team my full backing as always. COYS

Well its now half 12 and we've heard nothing. That to me is good news. Like someone said earlier, if AP was going to be sacked then the meeting would have lasted 15 mins tops IMO. The longer the day goes on, I am more confident that this has been blown out of all proportion, and that the daily fail is going to look very stupid

I remember this too, and in that case it all turned out to be a nothing story. This is why I am reasonably confident that we have a similar situation now with AP. I firmly believe AP will be here next season. and FWIW i think Cotterill (although undoubtedly a good manager) would be a step sideways. He is of similar calibre to Pards imo

We were embarassing yesterday. Agree with everything said about James - he just doesnt seem to have a position that he can play well in. Fonte was appalling, but hey he was ill and everyone is entitled to bad day Where was Antonio? Mills is like a bad Dan Harding, the same sort of player but does everything a little bit worse! Decent back up though. Semi can be solid but will then do soething awful. I think people are being harsh to Connolly, imo he looked like the only player who would make things happen. Unfortunately we had noone who could pick out his runs with a decent pass We miss Schniederlin - im starting to think he could be our most important player next season. Martin looks like a great prospect - one of the few positives! my first away game. Brilliant choice
