Nice to see reports that Sadio Mane has married his long term girlfriend.

This thread is the bestest. I love Rishi and love Russell so think it’s so cool that they both get so much chat. Go Saints. Up the Saints. We all love the red and white even if your politics are blue (or green lol). Top thread. Oh when the Saints go marching in.

Such a lazy, slow, bouncing ball back to Bazunu. He should have just stuck a boot through it but wasn’t helped by the pass.

Red and Lino have been shocking tonight. Lucky to have benefited from the biggest decision but not undeserved and can’t say they’ve been biased with their incompetence.

Can you try and sort us another good luck charm for towards the start of next season in the Premier League, please!

Wait until you get inside of the concrete arena…

Burnley were top on 38 points after 20 games last season. Assuming Leeds hold on and win, there’ll hopefully be 4 team already on 40+ by the end of today. Feels like it’s going to be like our League 1 promotion where at least 1 team is going to end up in the playoffs with a huge points total.

I think he slipped.

From the halfway line!

Championship Lampard!

Yeah…

Weren’t we linked with Peltier about 13 years ago? Missed opportunity that could come back to haunt us!

Anyone know what the training sessions under Martin look like? Wouldn't be surprised if the Keepers and Defence spend the first hour on their own, the midfield and attackers do the same and then they finish with half an hour of attack v defence. No cohesion between the two groups at all.

Don’t mind his general commentary through the game but could do without the hyperbole (‘Declan Rice, Arsenal for life.’) when there’s a goal.

So all the Sunderland fans go to bed with hope but wake up in a terrible mood when they see their best player has left. Much more ready to turn on their team when they haven’t seen any of the ball in the first 15 minutes of their early kick off.

Think we’re going down the route of a club captain (Stephens) supported by a leadership group of Bednarek, Walker-Peters, Downes and Adams this year. Opportunity for one or two others being involved but seems to be sensible instead of having a captain that needs to start week in week out.

There’s been a lot of public talk about how Che’s attitude has been great. Might be wrong but feels like some positive reinforcement for when we keep hold of him and roll out the line of no club meeting our valuation. We’ll then be expecting him to continue with that brilliant attitude for the rest of the season.

You’ve needlessly been a cunt with your Parkinson/SOG replies but this was beautifully executed. Well done.
-
Next you’ll be advocating us signing a keeper that only saves shots but doesn’t do much else.
-
Control the controllables. Not a bad mindset to have when trying to get out of this league.

Craziest thing you did or wore at a football match?
ChrisPY replied to Pilchards's topic in The Saints
Remember that game well. Bloke who must have been in his 50s in front of us stuck a balaclava on after we scored and rushed to threaten the Bristol City fans. After a minute or so, went back to his seat (about 5 metres from the segregation) and took the balaclava off again as if they wouldn’t see who had just been offering to fight them after the game. -
Enjoyed David Prutton talking about how it’s important players are setting an example and respecting officials…
-
Also wishing we’d paid higher upfront fees for Edozie, Bazunu and Larios or is it only if they turn out to be top class?

If we end up dropping through the leagues, at least we can look forward to winning more games, more 3pm kick offs, hearses on the pitch… https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1793871/Dunston-Gateshead-abandoned-masked-men-hearse-non-league-football/amp
