  1. Don’t mind his general commentary through the game but could do without the hyperbole (‘Declan Rice, Arsenal for life.’) when there’s a goal.
  2. So all the Sunderland fans go to bed with hope but wake up in a terrible mood when they see their best player has left. Much more ready to turn on their team when they haven’t seen any of the ball in the first 15 minutes of their early kick off.
  3. Think we’re going down the route of a club captain (Stephens) supported by a leadership group of Bednarek, Walker-Peters, Downes and Adams this year. Opportunity for one or two others being involved but seems to be sensible instead of having a captain that needs to start week in week out.
  4. There’s been a lot of public talk about how Che’s attitude has been great. Might be wrong but feels like some positive reinforcement for when we keep hold of him and roll out the line of no club meeting our valuation. We’ll then be expecting him to continue with that brilliant attitude for the rest of the season.
  5. You’ve needlessly been a cunt with your Parkinson/SOG replies but this was beautifully executed. Well done.
  6. Next you’ll be advocating us signing a keeper that only saves shots but doesn’t do much else.

    Flynn Downes

Control the controllables. Not a bad mindset to have when trying to get out of this league.
  8. Remember that game well. Bloke who must have been in his 50s in front of us stuck a balaclava on after we scored and rushed to threaten the Bristol City fans. After a minute or so, went back to his seat (about 5 metres from the segregation) and took the balaclava off again as if they wouldn’t see who had just been offering to fight them after the game.
  9. Enjoyed David Prutton talking about how it’s important players are setting an example and respecting officials…
  10. Also wishing we’d paid higher upfront fees for Edozie, Bazunu and Larios or is it only if they turn out to be top class?
  11. If we end up dropping through the leagues, at least we can look forward to winning more games, more 3pm kick offs, hearses on the pitch… https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1793871/Dunston-Gateshead-abandoned-masked-men-hearse-non-league-football/amp
  12. I’ve got it on good authority that Russell Martin feels the same way.
  13. his YouTube highlight reel is amazing.

    Ruben Selles

Or the third option, you isolate one of the clique and use them as a very public example of what will happen if the others don’t get back on board. Issue with this would have been whether Selles had enough authority for it to work.

    Huw Edwards

Hopefully it was at least well aged.
  16. As weird as their need to prove you wrong on every topic is (slightly less weird when you consider that you seem to want to do the same), I’m pretty sure you don’t get more responses purely because people can’t be arsed reading past the first sentence of each lecture you post.
  17. Which one of the girls on the previous page is your missus?
  18. I’d hope we’ve been flirting with one or two others just in case
  19. Don’t agree with this level of sensationalism. We already live in a country where the government along with a few billion pound businesses know who I am, where I work, how much I earn, where I spend my money, who I live with etc. They’ve already got more than enough information about me, without the words I use on the internet, if they wanted to introduce the sort of controlling measures you’re hinting at.
  20. There’s multiple things that could be done but would cost rich people a lot of money and powerful people a lot of pride. Can’t see it happening but feel like this would be a good place to start: - ID and verification for people in those countries willing to support - Teams set up within social media companies to react quickly on flagged offensive terms ‘n*****’, ‘monkey + saka’ etc - Laws passed in those countries willing to punish at a level that deters offenders - Sanctions and limited access to those countries not willing to subject themselves to increased policing

    The Budget

I’m lucky enough to not desperately need the help but I’ll be taking them up on their kind offer to slightly ease the rising cost of living. My hard earned taxes are used for things I support, thing I detest and occasionally things, like this, that directly benefit me. I’m pleased to live in a country where we’re all in it together and if enough of us disagree with what our money’s being used for, we’ll get rid of those in charge. Having said that… A level of responsibility should be expected of people bringing a child into the world. I recently saw an interview with a woman complaining she had to have an abortion because she couldn’t afford to bring up the child and pay for care. To me it seemed like a responsible decision but came across as if she believed the government had forced this on her because they weren’t willing to pay for the child’s upbringing.
  22. Think most will disagree with you. However, even if you were right, don’t you think it’s an issue to be relying on those small margins against Grimsby?
