The question about a 'shared share', for people who could not pay a share themselves outright, was discussed and deemed as possible and welcomed. You couldn't make it up could you? 'Sorry Smythie, caravan's short of blue bog fluid...can you help me out with a trust share now?' Just what a bankrupt, close on liquidated club needs by way of support:facepalm:

Watched the game on telly yesterday and wanted to praise our support up there. Really good noise, only heard their support a couple of times when they scored and the '3-0 and you still can't sing' emphasised how cr*p their support was compared with you all! Credit to you that went up there - loud and proud with a good variety - bring on the skates!

This.. Far too early to judge

Thinking of the Liebherr family on this day - I hope they know the gratitude and respect that comes from Saints fans all over the world for Markus.

If the words common and man didn't give you a clue then you deserve your candidate.. Thread is too silly to comment seriously...a red Dune would be Thatcher

From the Saints Takeover Saga over on the main forum. 'Originally Posted by Guided Missile Alright, you got me. This is a minor part of what I heard. The main story is that there will be a bid for Pompey next week and I know exactly who will be making the bid. Not sure how true the rumour is about Saints, but think it is very credible, given the source. The Pompey bid is definite, though...' -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How credible is the monetary value of the bid though...a £1 bid would probably be enough to buy them but the baggage, the charges that are held, the amount needed to service the refurbished, refurbished CVA coupled with the inevitability of a further points deduction would render it a massively unattractive proposition. A few dozen pages back I commented that if they gave someone £30 million to take it on threy'd still be out of pocket...and for what? A tainted brand, ramshackle stadium with no car park and a reviled as cheats club with a history going all the way back to 2012. I'm not sure how many certifiable billionaires there are in the world...and how many of them 'love' the skates!

When you loan a company money you are the moneylender/bank - see Chanrai as an example When you are a shareholder you own the company and have a vested interest in to more than getting your money back. It's far healthier and looks much better on a balance sheet. -
'Go bust' fits better...this was got going on Saturday and more joined in as they realised what was being sung. Not sure if it crossed the Block 39/40 border though...

And this - amongst a host of other reasons - is why he should not be allowed anywhere near the national team job. He bears more than the blatantly obvious blame for the plight of the clubs he's left in disarray...fortunately our pedigree an a slice of luck in ML/NC allowed us to break free from his poisonous after-effects. P*mpey of course gave him freedom of the city....his legacy to them looks like it's going to be the Wessex League...Shalalalalalala etc

It was a brilliant day out...I don't give a sh*t how mickey it was - we were there and the others weren't. My lad got to see Wembley (and I saw the new one for the first time) and he saw Saints win a cup there...what's not to like? Made me chuckle Paolo De Mussolini's Barcelona cr*p rebounded in his face too :-)

I suspect this will become Teflon Cam's John Major moment...it's not back to basics this time but having ridden the 'Transparency' in government bandwagon in to (shared) power this will bite him hard on the a*se. I listened to Francis Maude on the radio on the way to work trying to explain why Cameron should not reveal his guest list...TDD your dinner party argument would wash if all his guests paid multi thousands for their dinners but they don't....he now has to practice what he's preached re transparency or step down - it's a credibility on the line issue and he very firmly made it so.

Desperate is an unsellable 'club' with no assets, serial liquidations, poor team at the bottom of the league, manky ground that you don't even own, the laughing stock of the football world whose legacy (for the short time they'll be remembered) will be as the cheats who lived so far beyond what is honest and proper that they eventually replicated the deluded population of the town whose name they used to bear the name of. Desperate is trying to score petty points using flawed information on a forum that is not even your own, desperate is fraudulently playing the victim card whilst attempting to portray a fickle, putrid and dwindling 'following' as something to be proud of...the image of PFC in whatever '90s, 201...whatever incarnation will be associated with the mangy, tattooed drunk with the bell and the crowd of fleas that accompany it..a truer representation of a club/city than any other portrayed. Desperate is a succession of shady, criminally inclined 'owners' all welcomed with open arms regardless ofwhether they'd maimed, robbed or mutilated..desperate is inventing one that didn't even exist in a shabby attempt to get what to your festering excuse for a club was some kind of respectability...and in comparison with the real ones was probably not a bad attempt. Desperation is claiming that Riquelme, Maradona were about to 'grace' your threadbare pitch, desperation is boasting of paying players fat salaries when charities went unpaid..desperation is about the consequences of not learning the lessons of last century let alone last year and once more fleecing ordinary taxpayers, working people and those beyond the football world... Desperation is what you see for the future...no buyer, no chance of paying debts, points deductions looming...you're looking the desperation of liquidated reality in the face and you deserve every desperate second that you've earned of it. Desperation is being unmourned, unloved and reviled by even those beyond the football world in your desperate final throes. Desperate is a word that you will remember for it's real meaning very soon.

Top man and immense signing..Celtic's inability to get the best from him is both his and our gain - particularly if his prolific ( ) goal scoring takes us that last step. Hope he's here for the rest of his career!

'I hope they get it right and it would be nice if they found a multi-millionaire who lives in Portsmouth' If you were a multi millionaire WTF would you live there?
-
Their current level of crowds wouldn't be considered big in L1 so accepting that they'll very probably (if they avoid liquidation which is looking increasingly doubtful) be starting on another points deduction for not servicing the first CVA ...the phew will almost certainly be phewer! Shame uh?

Dalek's odds for 17th :-)

Interesting take on the overall picture - not sure how he concludes that the support network is strong. The only life support machine that could help is a P*mpey supporting billionaire with more than one screw loose to the point of being unhinged! They've run out of crooks...tick...

Recommendations sought about book keeping/accountancy software

As others have said it depends what you use it for...bought Sage 50 a few years back and have constantly upgraded and it's been ok but I now find it lacking in foreign transaction capability and a little restricted in it's reporting.
