  1. Fonte and Davis dont score many either? It's not their job, neither is it Morgan's. I really believe he is our Alonso, not massively spectacular but take him out and you do notice. Already a good player and has potential to be class.
  2. Good one to pick up on a freebie in the first season is fabrice fernandes, both for the comedy value and really is a cut above League 1, i flogged him at the start of the second season to lazio for in excess of 2 mill
  3. Best thing to do is try and pick up as many half decent/cheap nippers as poss. That way at least some will become good and means if you are constantly signing 15/16 yr olds, they will become HG. I know what you mean about Markus he is the same on mine, really havent had mega-dosh to splash about, and as i said above has now been brought out by Cortese (Who is actually tighter, and more intrusive accepting offers over my head!)
  4. So in the 2014/15 season (ended up finishing runners up to a stupidly untouchable Man City) Cortese bought out Liebherr, this happened to anyone else? Made me laugh, though NC is alot more hands on and is continually going over my head and accepting offers which is rather frustrating
  5. Everton youngster on loan at Motherwell, Clearly a Saints fan then.... http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?v=wall&ref=nf&id=558800577
  6. Was that Ince against Italy in the quali's for France '98? http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Football/Pix/pictures/2009/10/9/1255087607619/Paul-Ince-leads-England-t-002.jpg
  7. I think he resembles a baked bean
  8. Looks like Mr Wonder may happen, I personally think it has the potential to be brilliant: http://www.mtv.co.uk/events/glastonbury-festival-0/news/176418-muse-stevie-wonder-lined-up-for-glasto Looks like they are doing Glasto '11: http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/information/
  9. Agree totally, don't tend to get into the American hour long drama's (ie the wire, lost, 24 etc) but a housemate got me totally sucked in. Hugh Laurie is an absolute hero, plays the role fantastically. Also have to agree with all those that have mentioned Curb Your Enthusiasm, absolutely brilliant - especially when you consider the majority of it is unscripted.
  10. I'd be slightly concerned at some people's 'interest' in this girl...
  11. Interesting article on Rene Higuita (Scorpion Kick Goalie), worth a read if you want to kill a few mins http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/timvickery/2010/02/the_legacy_of_rene_higuita.html
  12. £6 bottle of Rum before you leave the house, £1 bus to town, £3 in, 2-3 drinks on offer at £2, walk home done
  13. Student nights out can be done for £12-15, tell me how i can get to Southampton from Leeds and into a match for that and i will never miss a St. Marys match again
  14. Yeah, any idea how much a night out actually costs? in comparison to train tickets and a match tickets? its not really comparable ..then again im sure it was harder in your day...
  15. Some people should get off your high horse. Im a student in Leeds, frankly i cant afford to go to games at St. Mary's every other week, does that make me less of a fan? get a grip
  16. Probably also why Chelsea have not let him go on a permanent deal yet?
  17. i love this, clearly you know more than wenger and mourinho
  18. same problem here
  19. i just keep getting a message say 'not a registered protocol' can anyone shed any light on this?
  20. Unfortuanely it's the world we live in, look at Nick Griffin and co at the BNP, it's all pretty pathetic, there are much more important things in life than football, as there are much more important things about a person than where they come from
  21. Can i give you a hug, please
  22. Totally agree, would be more worried in all honestly if a manager went totally on what they did for previous managers in previous seasons. Pardew can only go on what he see's, it's the same basic principle (whilst there are some obvious differences) Capello takes with England, "play well and impress me and you'll get a chance"
  23. Why would they lie about the "5 year-plan"? This is not a dig at you personally, but even for someone of the wealth of Markus Libherr, the moeny spent in purchasing the club and subsequently on the team and staff (it seems to be forgetten that he is a big name in himself and probably hasnt come cheap) will represent a significant outlay. Whatever ML's intentions are, it is in his interest for us to be successful, if we are just a billionaire's plaything he's not going to want to see us suffer more relegations costing him millions, or if he see's the clubs as an investment, we will be of significantly more value in the Prem (or at least on the brink of it). I think also, this club was in serious trouble, in terms of finance, boardroom and on the field matters. The rot of poor management and poor decisions over a number of years may not have been known to its full extent, it is probably only coming to the fore now. The new regime deserve plaudits for they way they have gone about everything they have done thus far, from the purchase of the club, the staff they have bought in, and they manner in which they have gone about it. This season was always going to be about consolidation, steadying the ship and building the foundations for a future which will hopefully see us move back up the leagues with the infastructure mentioned above. Posters on here are at times hysterical or delusional, it would appear many seem to think we will be a League One equivalent of Man City, but surely our beloved neighbours down the road show what happens when you try and buy success to quickly without the proper structures in place. Is that really what people want?
  24. ta-ra, hopefully saga will follow him soon, whilst decent players, these two have summed up our problems in recent years, over-paid, over-rated and an attitude that stinks.
