I really think this should happen

I have to say I'm not with you on this one. It's a bit easier going than the previous two albums. But I find it quite a pleasant, enjoyable album. Once again showing Damon Albarn's impressive versatility. On tour with one of the Best British bands in the last couple of decades, then releasing an album like this the next year. Very impressive. I'd like to see one of them snaring gnarling Gallagher idiots attempt to do anything as diverse as this.

I can claim to hate someone that whilst fronting a government anti-bullying campaign, sends text messages to someone threatening to kill them. I'd hate any other knuckle-dragging neanderthal that thinks this behaviour is acceptable. Get over yourself, look in the mirror Dappy. There's not even irony in that name, it somes him up pretty well, and he doesn't even realise it the absolute ****wit. How can somebody in an industry so subjective and down to personal taste, as the music industry be so thin-skinned? Does he really think that everyone in the world is going to like him? The truth is probably closer to the opposite, most with more than a handful of braincells to rub together realise what odious, cretinous little creatures N-Dubz are. They don't even possess an ounce of music talent between the three of them. Go back to school, learn to play an instrument, learn to speak a language, then attempt to actually write a song. When they do this, instead over shouting vile nonsensical rubbish as posted above then I may consider changing my opinion on them.

I'm quite interested to catch up on some of Miyazaki's work. Saw Spirited Away a while back and absolutely fell in love with it. The animation was stunning, and along with the characters truly charming. Also found the storyline interesting and compelling. The praise this film received was certainly well deserved. Can you or anyone else recommend any other Miyazaki movies?

Finally saw The Departed the other day. Have to say I didn't get the hype. Team America has ruined Matt Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamon for me, I will never be able to take him seriously again. Felt the film and plotline were pointless, and left me as a viewer feeling it was all rather futile.

So you are a better 'supporter' than anyone else because you do nothing but moan and criticise? Do me a favour

Many modern games (dont get me wrong there are some cracking games out there now) are prone to the same pitfalls as modern films. Technology simply gets in the way. All too concerned with fancy effects and explosions and ultimately lack content. Lack depth, storyline and characters. Many older games have a sense of fun and character due to the lack of technology available to makers, forcing them to look for other more novel ways to entice gamers. A personal favourite is Kid Chameleon on the Sega Megadrive. Though to be fair I have been playing this for a while with the Emulator I downloaded. Have also recently discovered it's on the Sega Classics on the Xbox along with some other gems like Golden Axe, The Streets of Rage series, Echo the Dolphin and ofcourse the Sonic games. Also worth noting you can also get copies of emulators for most consoles online now...So many of you can be reunited with your old forgotten favourites.

FM 2010 hints, tips, cheats & gems of players / tactics

A question for MLG, Ive just come across a GK who was born in 1990, but has a history going back to 1999, is this real or is it a glitch? Italian by the name of Carlo Pinsoglio -
FFS Pardew out, Cortese out, Liebherr out. No ambition. Poor Management. Poor players. Im going to start another thread to grumble and moan then slit my wrists and jump off a mountain...

Wow. And you accuse me of arrogance.

I choose to see it as a healthy grip on reality and patience. Something that clearly others don't posses. The two also seem better suited than pessimism cynicism and ambition? To want to see a club come from the brink, rebuild and have a chance of pushing back to what it once was is not a lack of ambition alpine. Its called realism. Id recommend a dose of it

I dont know the merits of calling any saints fan a glory hunter, but seriously get a grip. I think any one with more than a single brain cell and any resemblance of an understanding of reality would have taken the season we have had. A trip to Wembley and still a chance (albeit an outside one) of a play-off place. Most Importantly Pardew (unquestionably the right man for the job - ignore what stupid fans who seem to think we should be top of the league think, just look at what other managers and fans think he has done) has built a team that many think (myself included) could challenge in the league above. Players have come here as they see this as a club pushing for a bright future. Players seen as the top players in both this division and that above have turned down other moves to come here. When in our recent history has that ever happened? So to reiterate my initial point. Get a grip.

Weeds is also a very good show, with some very interesting characters ...and Nancy, nom nom nom nom nom

And Bobby Robson was in charge, what a man he was

This does make me question why anyone is proud to be English. Why are so many so irrational, idiotic, ignorant and blind to the fact that we are so lucky to live in such a cosmopolitan country with such a fantastic melting pot of cultures and people from all over the world. Despite this, we are disproportionately racist and moronic. Anyone who understand the history of England and Britain should realise that such behaviour goes against what being British is.
-
How can you call yourself a football fan? Ok admittedly I'm not overly bothered about England and how well they do. But the World Cup is something that a football fan should be excited about and enjoy. Theres something special about people coming together and representing their countries, and the excitement this breeds amongst fans. The spectacle is, let's face it something we aren't going to experience for at least a few more years whilst we are still kicking around in the lower leagues. Even forgetting the fact that the England team is made up of over-paid, over-rated, over-hyped, over-preened knuckle-dragging neanderthals. Watching the drama, of the perennial smaller nation over-achieve is something rather enjoyable. Who didn't enjoy South Korea's run in '02? The drama and spectacle of the World Cup offers something to a football fan that no other competition can, and is very special. To so blindly write it off would make me question anyone that calls themselves a football fan.

Not only has he joined them he has ruined them. I am a huge Smiths fan, and whilst he can write a good catchy jangly guitar sound he is far from being technically the most gifted. For me Matt Bellamy has to be worth a shout, absolute machine, also Eric Johnson is a bit of a sicko

Finally got round to watching Harry Brown the other day. What a film. Michael Caine just continues to get better and better. Without doubt up there amongst the greatest British actors of all time. Also been watching lots of Woody Allen's films of late. Whilst he is admittedly rather hot and cold, when he gets it right he is brilliant. Annie Hall, Manhattan, Everything You Wanted to Know about Sex...., and Hannah and Her Sisters (also starring Michael Caine) are all classics! Amazing to see how many references to his films are still made in modern tv shows and films

Ah yes i just found glasto-watch, i hope the eventual line up resembles this one! Hot Chip, Squeeze and The Chemical Brothers would all be immense!

So has anyone actually got a ticket? Paid mine up the other week, absolutely buzzing to get back there!!!

Where have you discovered this? It would make me pretty happy, caught them at The Warehouse Project in Manchester last year was....well as you say amazing! Also, been listening to Bombay Bicycle Club's latest album (I Had the Blues but I Shook them Loose) a lot recently, unspectacular but very pleasant and certainly very enjoyable for a bit of easy listening
