  1. We need someone ITK and NATS in Swanick to join our team of ITK Taxi Drivers, Hotel Workers and loiterers at St Mary's.
  2. Isnt that Les Reid on the left hand end?
  3. Show him the Bargate, the Old Walls etc that will persuade him.
  4. They can live in Surrey. She can be an hour from London, he can be an hour from Southampton.
  5. It sounds as bad as the Echo's reporting on Wessex League games when they call Fawley the Oilmen because its near an oil refinery, Totton and Eling the Millers beacause of Eling Tide Mill, or Hamble the Planemakers because theres an a aircraft place nearby. Maybe we should become the Southampton Kerb Crawlers due to the proximity of the ground. That has a ring to it.
  6. It has to be the FA cup in 76 for me. I think what a lot of people forget is, that Winning the FA Cup back then was more or less considered equal to winning the old Div 1. It was the knockout competion, as a team we'd proved that we could come out on top of a pile that consisted of every team in the Country, and the whole world watched it. Now to some degree its very much a sideshow compared to the premier league, with the teams out of the top 6 aiming to win it so they can get a European spot. Look at Arsenal when they beat us, the fans werent interested.
  7. If you click on his name, and then click on the facebook link, you'll see that his location gives a good indication as to why he thinks we'll come bottom.
  8. Clearly Norwich are benefiting from the 'Partridge' effect. Anyone who's anyone wants to go there now.
  9. Amusingly in the comments bit someone predicts Bournemouth to win league 1. Quite a few predicting the skates to win league 2. I've got a bad feeling about that.
  10. I think it was a figure of speech. If he'd said MP was the 'bees knees', would we all be debating the correct anatomical defition of a bee's knee?
  11. Blackburn are probably a good example in recent years, but they are unique. Apart from them the prem has been dominated by 4 teams (if you include City)
  12. I used to know the son of an Italian Ice cream man who lived in Calshot. He moved back to Naples years ago. He and one of my mates had a fight in his front garden, and the old man came out brandishing a carving knife. Which was a pity really, because it was a bloody good fight up to then. The re-match at school the next day was nowhere near as good. Anyway, my point is, if we were still friends I could have asked him if he knew anything about this possible transfer.
  13. And taxi drivers taking them between the two
  14. Its a latin thing. I cant think of many instances in England where 20000 or so turned up when a player was unvieled, Michael Owen signing for Newcastle is the only one I recall.
  15. I try to make a habit of avoiding player's rallying call type articles. I lost faith in Claus' weekly speeches in the 2004/05 season when we got relegated.
  16. Although the more serious ‘pony fiddling’ incidents that took place in the 80s, occurred in the East Hants area, which according to them are 100% PFC...apparently
  17. I think we should be careful about claiming that all the 000’s of saints fans that were at the JPT were actually saints fans. I know many that went up there, who happen to be from the Southampton area, who went purely for the day out, who actively support other teams like Chelsea, Spurs, Leeds etc. Some had never been to a football game in there life let a alone a saints game. Many of those have never been since. I’m sure everyone knows of similar people, so if you multiply that, it probably adds up to quite a number. Having said that without doubt the same can definitely be said about Millwall, I’d say that 75% of those that went to the semi final hadn’t been to a Millwall game for years if at all.

  19. This beer is brewed in Barbados. http://www.10saints.com/story.html Jumping on the bandwagon if you ask me. Although it is very nice.
  20. That Guy Kremner looks like he's about to say 'No, I expect you to die Mr Bond'.
  21. Did he go for a pint in the Kingsland Tavern, if so there's no way he'll sign.
  22. Yes he is in the States, also I heard that Lipsy was dead. But I'm not sure if this is true or not.
  23. Owned by Mike Ashley?
  24. This is like blaming Haringey Council if spurs cant hold on to Bale.
