If you were given £15m to spend on one player in January?

Craaachie? Triffic. (winds up car window, drives off) -
It's not an easy choice, but after much deliberation, the voices in my head have handed me the golden envelope, and the name flashing brightly on my brainscreen is - 'all the way from Bar End, Winchester' - Terry 'Elvis' Paine.

Shaints Shecret Shcouse Shanta? Shurely shome mishtake.

Five and seven eighths, I think.

Latest series of Misfits was excellent again, ending with all new characters, the highlight being the gorgeous Lucy Gaskell as femme-fatale Lola. New series in the spring. Also, I have found the location on Google Earth.

Nutshell

IIRC Man City are not averse to paying a certain amount of loan players wages (can't remember exactly who), so it depends if the Dons Cortese and Mancini can strike a deal in some backstreet trattoria/ristorante (handgun hidden in the toilet cistern to seal the deal Italiano style).

Reading between the lines I think it's pretty bloody obvious the lad's deeply unhappy, unsettled and begging for a move to an EPL south coast club.

Apparently there's to be an amnesty so we can all hand in our assault footballs to the nearest police station.

Ok matey, thanks for that, much appreciated. I was thinking of getting a new one anyway and presumed that any repair would be uneconomical. It does get incredibly hot top centre directly above the keyboard, almost too hot to touch, which has always struck me as strange. It's had very heavy usage over the last 12-18 months. It's been a tax deductable item so I guess I've probably had my money's worth out of it.

Yesterday, my screen suddenly went black. The computer seemed to carry on happily, sound ok etc etc, and no error messages. I turned it off after about 10 minutes waiting to see if it would magically fix itself. I had to do this by pressing the on/off button for 5 seconds as I couldn't see the screen. Turned it back on. The screen lit up ok but had pixel patterns and colours randomly arranged across it. Windows started to load as per usual, but just at the point where you normally get the 'welcome' music and your desktop homescreen would appear, the screen goes black again. This happens consistently, even down to the same pixel patterns. Again, after the screen has gone black, the computer seems to carry on booting successfully, the HDD light blinking away merrily. I have booted it in safe mode, and it loads fine, the screen works ok and does not black out, albeit with a fine, blue pixel pattern cast across it, not enough to obscure text etc which is why I can post this. I even managed to watch Leeds v Chelsea on it, lol. This is a new one on me, I presume it is graphics card related maybe? Odd that the screen only blacks out in 'normal' boot mode. Laptop is the humungous Acer Aspire 9813. I've had it for 5 years and no probs. cheers for any advice.

But Simon Peach is a SWF poster. Now I'm confused and may have to sit down awhile to ponder this philosophical conundrum.

I'm frightened and crying. Now I've done a toilet when I didn't want to. -

GusTheFox @GusTheFox Top lad. Watching Bradley Wiggins beat the **** out of a swan with his bike pump. You'd think he'd have bigger fish to fry at the moment.

No. I happened across Ron Davies on Southampton Central one morning just after he'd left us to play for the club that shall not speak it's name. I can see him now, clear as day, unshaven and looking hungover. I should have gone up to him, wished him well and told him he'd always be a Saints legend, but I just walked on by, awestruck that I'd been so close to my idol. SRL is the latter day Ron Davies.

No, but I'd cry myself to sleep.
