Inception 7.5/10. Impressive. Way OTT premise but pulled off very well. Left the cinema quite disorientated ....and a bit flat - I found myself not really giving two sh!tz about any of the characters unfortuantely.

Just started watching Being Human second series on BBCAmerica. I like this. Getting through season 1 of Deadwood. ****ing great! And will start The Wire season 3 soon. For ****s and giggles renting old episodes of Allo Allo too.

Close Encounters on tv - Nice, but I wish directors would stop messing around with their original work by adding their 'Special Edition Cut' nonsense...special for who? Their wallets! Arf! Arf! Despicable Me - 5/10 - These animations need to start doing more to keep the accompanying adults more amused. there have been great ones in the past, this is very average. Toy Story 3 - 6/9 - Better, but not as good as the originals.

Halfway through Arcade Fire's new album The Suburbs. Not sure what to make of it. Seem to have lost much of the raw energy and emotion of their first two excellent albums (esp. the first). More mature and sensible bit not as fun.

ESPN have done good this year with their pundit and commentary pool. Pluses - Gullit, Roberto Martinez, Klinsman, (Adrian Healey, Ian Darke, Ally McCoist, Martin Tyler, Efan Ekoku in the commentary box) and no sign of cheeky Tommy Smyth!! Negatives - Alexi Lalas (smug turd), Steve McManamanamanaman (just plain ****e) And Fox Soccer Channel have Andy Gray and Richard Keys for a refreshing change and familiar faces.
