No, they look bargains. But on the basis we only have a finite amount of money to spend on players, the amount they cost versus how much we get out of them is relevant. Even more worrying that we've also spent £3m+ on Mayuka.

Well using Benteke as an example, he's shown what you can get for £7m, looks head and shoulders above Rodrigues.

Said after the game, at least half of a keeper's job is to do all the unseen things, talking to the back 4, sweeping up behind them etc and that's what he did very well. Plus was reasonably comfortable against Reading's corners and set pieces. Hopefully see Davis have a settled run in the team for a little while now.

Pretty much agree with all that, but it was Yoshida and not Mayuka playing centre back for us. Still felt we were a bit shaky at the back at times, against what is a very average Reading side.

Fitness won't be a problem, he managed a full 90 minutes up at Liverpool on Saturday. As you say, it'll be sharpness. I reckon he'll be given the benefit of any doubt and almost certainly will play.

As opposed to missing a couple of months of the season due to suspension like he usually does. Their midweek game against Reading will be an interesting one.
