  1. This was an absolutely massive toss to win. Opportunity for the team batting first, rack up a huge total and see the side backing second struggle under pressure and a deteriorating pitch.
  2. I guess Saints had to take up the extra allocation on a "no returns" basis and after what happened at Man City decided to only take the smaller allocation. Fair enough really. DOn't think many of us thought we'd sell so many, so quickly.
  3. You haven't answered/understood my question.
  4. What on that list wasn't already in place in the UK before the HRA?
  5. A front two of Mayuka and Lambert with Ramirez sat behind them would be class, but doesn't fit our formation and would leave us to exposed in midfield most likely. Or drop Lallana and have a solid midfield 3 sat behind them.
  6. Hence why none of them are any closer to another starting place.
  7. He started away to Leeds. He wasn't very good.
  8. Where have I said it was a smart move? Don't make stuff up because you're getting confused. If Saints had been in Wimbledon's position, I'd have been all for the creation of an 'AFC' back where the club was actually from well before the move to MK.
  9. Where have I said I'd be supportive of such a move for Saints? I think you miss the point, but it really shouldn't be that confusing?
  10. Woolwich to Islington isn't just across the river. It would have meant a completely new set of supporters and was done for commercial reasons, same as MK Dons really. Are Woolwich Arsenal still going then? Wimbledon were dying pretty quickly, just a sharp move for them to see potential in Milton Keynes.
  11. Do you view Arsenal the same way? Would you have preferred Wimbledon FC were just liquidated? Which is probably what would have happened regardless.
  12. Why are those that now support or work for MK Dons "tw*ts"? Do you view Arsenal the same?
  13. Not really. He hasn't exactly set the footballing world alight has he?
  14. I went along last night to watch it. Saints played a lot of nice passing stuff, but Spurs physically a lot stronger and much better finishing. Spurs keeper had a bit of a blinder. Two centre backs for Saints actually looked pretty good despite the scoreline.
  15. I'll tell you what - go along to your local British Legion or next year's remembrance service and tell the servicemen there that wearing a poppy is just a insignificant bit of plastic and see what they say.
  16. What an arrogant t**t, he didn't give the mighty Danny Fox too many problems last season.
  17. Your use of the term "insignificant bit of plastic" to describe the poppies many of us wear speaks volumes about you and your views on the subject.
  18. Well it's exactly this really. Unless we go out and spend another £30m I can't see how we're going to get this sort of quality that will come in and hit the ground running the way we need.
  19. Well he turned down playing for Northern Ireland to play for the Republic, so that's a bit debateable!
  20. I'm not saying he's never dived. But loads of times? This season? In Saturday's game? As DellDays insinuates? I don't think so.
  21. It's ridiculous. Apart from the fact that he didn't have a particularly great game either. Basically its a catchy song that lots like to sing, a bit like the Tadanari Lee song last year and has little relation to what is actually going on the pitch.
  22. How many times has Lallana dived this season? When were these dives?
  23. I wouldn't ever work for an organisation that had an IRA rememberance day, therfore wouldn't be an issue. Balaclava and a gun sound a laugh though, an upgrade on the team building paintballing day out.
  24. I think you're missing the point - its relevant that he earns a lot of money because of where that money comes from - the supporters of Sunderland He should have the decency to respect something important to the vast majority of them. And that's the point, he should want to wear one. No-one is saying he should be forced to.
  25. Like what exactly? Plenty of Irish players from both the north and south have been able to wear poppy shirts without having their houses blown up!
