Pretty sure he was on the training vids for last week as well, so must be very close to full fitness by now. Possibly see him in the Leeds game.
-
He's no-where near as good as Schneiderlin in my eyes. Cork would be excellent cover to have on the bench though.
-
It wasn't funny the first time.
-
The whole thing is utterly bizzare.
-
Can see how/why this story would come about though, would suit Stoke, RL can't be massively pleased with constantly being dropped/taken off.
-
To be fair, Adkins should should have more important things to do with his time than meet and greet corporte events.
-
Where does this whole "Meet the manager and player' come from? Not heard of it before. How was your Mrs contacted?
-
Is that a definite? Hopefully they continue to play their full strength sides in EUrope, tough eastern european game tomorrow night can't do them any favours for preparing for our game.

Harry Redknapp to be named manager within 3 weeks
Sour Mash replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Well said and how most Saints fans I know feel. I am confident we won't go for Redknapp anyway. -
Who is saying that Adkins is "Super Manager"? Just that after two excellent years, it is ridiculous to judge him and want hime gone after just 8 games into a new season.
-
His position isn't untenable. We win on Sunday and everyone's happy again.

Harry Redknapp to be named manager within 3 weeks
Sour Mash replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Well they'd be wrong. Last time he took over here in a similar position he got us relegated. He has a poor reputation for coaching. What makes you think he can improve our defence? Accounts in Monaco under the name of his pet dog and all that goes with it, why would anyone want that associated with their club? And that's all before we even get started on what a two faced skate c**t he is. -

Absolute b****s. I can't think of any Saints fans I know that would "adore" Redknapp after a couple of wins. Football fans are fickle, they're not that fickle. -

Exactly this. Don't think NC would go for him anyway. -

I would, as would most Saints fans I know. -

How would she know the details of what goes on behind the scenes? Load of b******s. -
Would be my choice, would be nice for the "Southampton Way" to actually mean doing things a bit different from most of the others.
-
Do you genuinely believe that Redknapp is the best man for the job? He does a good job when he has class players at his disposal, can't see anything in his track record that would suggest he could sort out our defensive problems, he's not even really a "coach". Plus he's a c**t.
-
Pointless debate. It's not going to be Redknapp.
-
Yeah can't see it changing either, obviously it's not exactly life or death, but just find it a bit odd.
-
On the basis that we were told that Ramirez was involved in light training last Thursday, he can't be a million miles off at least a place on the bench for Sunday? Agreed on Boruc. We need to know who our first choice keeper is and stick with them. The need for a settled back 5 is massively important.

I'm not an expert on such things, so I'd happily defer anyone's more informed opinion, but surely a well run PR/media team manages the local/relevant media and tries to work with them to have as many positive stories and as few negative stories as possible? Most businesses emply such people to manage a positive working relationship with the relevant press and don't just say "We never talk to them"?
-
That's what I've said throughout the thread. My point is on their general "We will never, ever speak to the local paper" policy.
-
Not saying the Echo haven't ballsed up or done anything wrong, but it's hardly crime of the century. Just think the club don't help themselves sometimes with their PR management, this morning being a good example.
-
No, about 20 posts in you went off on one speculating as to what the "story" was despite it already being at the top of the page. Then you went off on one at me saying "what do you expect the club to say", despite that being my point throughout the thread. But cheers for letting us know we should close the thread.
