The ticket website said that the Everton game was sold out, it wasn't. I'd give the club a ring if you really want a ticket and the website is playing up.

Or see if you can try with someone else long-in details, that can make a difference at times as well.

Saints and avoiding relegation - according to Reading fans
Sour Mash replied to manina-pub's topic in The Saints
Safe to say that chap has a bit of spare time on his hands? In summary, we should have beaten Wigan? -
I've got an annoying feeling he'll play. Take it no news our end re Schneiderlin?
-
No it's not sold out. If you can't get down to the ground in person, just try again in a few hours would be my advice.

While what a lot of what you say is true, in the majority of those cases consumers still had a choice between more than one format. Most of the pople I know that buy and read programmes are over 60 years old, they don't do smart phones of tablets and just want to buy a programme at the match like they've done for the last 40 years.

Training Ground Development - "temporarily suspended"
Sour Mash replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
That does sound like a fairly serious problem then. Take it they didn't have any idea for the reason for suspending work? -
Would be good to see Mayuka start. He could probably do with 90mins under his belt. We're just a bit light in midfield.

Am I right in thinking that our under 21s are due to play the night before? Guess that might be postponed, although not sure if that is allowed? Hope we put a strong side out, will have a week to recover until the next game and we'd only be a couple of games from Wembley after this one.

No-one ever pays for construction projects upfront. -
Training Ground Development - "temporarily suspended"
Sour Mash replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
"With respect" I didn't say that that the vast majority of specifications wouldn't be known and clear at the time of tender, that is pretty obvious. I doubt they bid to build a "shiny new training ground". Much more chance of there being the need though for further clarification and agreement on the specification on a one-off, niche, high-end build like this then churning out 20 semi-detached Barrat homes. Agree that it is rare for it to stop construction outright, would be interesting to see more details. -
Training Ground Development - "temporarily suspended"
Sour Mash replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Construction specifications always end up being full of grey areas that aren't always spotted at the time of tender, but do come to light when it comes to doing the physical work. As mentioned above, typically an employer will employ a Project Management firm to manage the Contractor on their behalf, but that role used to be carried out by the architect and that could well be the case in this instance. -
Training Ground Development - "temporarily suspended"
Sour Mash replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
All those, plus a fair few others, asbestos etc and potential contrator f**k ups on Health and Safety or quality of workmanship. Anyone know whhich company we are using to Project Manage the work on our behalf? -

Cheers. But the site we're using, currently working on must be a fair bit bigger than the original RS ground? -

Anyone know what Staplewood was used for prior to it being our training ground? Was it just farmland? -
Training Ground Development - "temporarily suspended"

Could be as a result of 100 different things. Building contractors are typically a nightmare to deal with. Possibly a Health and Safety lapse on their behalf? -
Long-Ball - Does it work? Who does it the most?
Sour Mash replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Exactly that. The stats don't tell us much at all. Look where Stoke are on the list. -
I'd happily see Yoshida play Centre-Mid, think he could definitely do the job there. The 50 yard run he made with the ball in the first half at Everton showed real quality. Would agree with the rest of your line-up. Can see Hangeland going up against Lambert and doing a decent job on him potentially. Saw on a Fulham forum there is a chance Berbatov might be back.

No-one has said that have they?

Looks like Sky games have been announced as Reading v Arsenal on the Tuesday and Chelsea v Man Utd on the Weds.

How long is Boruc's contract for?
-
Well Chaplow should certainly be match fit, due to his involvement in the League Cup. But you're right, he won't start ahead of JWP, as he's not a very good CM.
-
Well we really don't know that yet. I think Adkins would like Reeves to be a back-up option there, but I'm expecting Fox to be back there for the Fulham game. I've never been a huge fan of Fox since we signed him, however I think he is getting a bit of a raw deal this year. Were we all that better defensively without him against Everton? Think his big problem at the moment is he's lost confidence, not easy to get that back though.

The money they pay income tax on is inherited? Oh right, didn't know that.
-
Well my post clearly wasn't "Bollo.oxs" as I am right, the very rich have at least eant their money, the benefit scroungers haven't. Why is it immoral? Everyone pays less tax if they can help it, we all try and find the best tax set-up to suit our own personal circumstances and the very rich are the same. Overall the very rich contribute far more to the economy than hundreds of us put together. I'm sure they're able to sleep at night despite this shocking case of "immorality".
