No, it's not simply the other side of the coin. The difference is that the very high earners at least have earnt their money, unlike the benefit cheats. Perhaps if taxes weren't so high, the very rch wouldn't go to such lengths to avoid paying them. This country earns more than enough through taxes, both direct and indirect; it's how that money has been spent that is the problem.

Personally I don't think Shaw is ready for the Prem. I'd still rather have Fox.

If you could pick one player from another team in the PL....

Would be my choice by a country mile. -
I'll take your word for it, but from what I've seen he's hardly played left-back in the last two years. That certainly suggests more than just getting him exposed to playing in a more attacking way and that left-back isn't his preferred position. Seaborne was prefferred to him against Sheff Weds, which speaks volumes. If I remember correctly, Reeves wasn't even originally in the first team squad for pre-season and only just got drafted in at the announcement of the final squad. Football is a funny old game as they say, so I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being the surprise answer to our left-back problem.

When we started this season, what exactly were you expecting?

I'm not sure of the relevance of your post, to the post of mine that you have quoted. My post referred to the protection given to our full backs, as opposed to the quality of the full backs themselves. Adkins didn’t learn from the Arsenal game at all in that regard and it looks so obvious. -
Possibly, hope that was the case anyway. Reeves certainly offers us the kind of left back we need/want - can see him over-lapping Lallana and being an attacking threat, which should certainly work for our home games. As I say, just not sure on his defensive qualities.
-
Cork won't be available for at least a month if not more.
-
Really can't judge him on that short appearance. He's always looked tidy when I've seen him play, but got no idea of his defensive qualities. It's a big ask, stepping up to the Prem (having played hardly any competitive/proper games at any level) and then being asked to do it away from your normal position? Anyway, going on Adkins post-match interview on Saints Player, Fox wasn't injured. Of more concern is why Clyne went off. Got a good full week to sort out any of these minor knocks and then 2 whole weeks to sort out anything more serious, so at least that's a positive.

Boruc will start in goal. I still feel we should have played Hooiveld at CB against Everton to deal with Fellaini and would have had Yoshida left back, think that could be an option for the Fulham game, just got a feeling Fox will be back in, he's our only recognised left-back. I would look to use Guly in someway. Ironically he is one of our most suited players for the 4-3-3/4-5-1 line up, as he links Midfield to attack very well and covers plenty of ground tracking back. I'd have had him in instead of Rodriquez against Everton. Having said that, I'm expecting Puncheon to come back in, with Rodriquez back on the bench.

Well this is the only thing that has worried/surprised me. Having had our full backs hugely exposed against Arsenal, we've allowed the same to happen at Everton, a team famed for attacking down the flanks. Really surprised Adkins didn't do more to address that. -
Play it early morning on the Weds. Only fair option.
-
Ha ha, so as I said all along on here, don't rely on our ticket website to see if a game is sold out or not, speak to the club directly. I think our website doesn't have the ability to stop selling tickets once all the tickets have been sold, so once it starts getting close, they take them off sale from the website.
-
Agreed. He might not have trained/been in any of the footage for a hundred different reasons though. I reckon he'll play.
-
Just guessing because he wasn't in any of the build up footage on Saints Player?
-
Both the Suarez and Terry cases are an absolute joke. So what if one footballer said some nasty words to another footballer.
-
Or just copying and pasting onto message boards, even easier.

Why do people go to all the trouble of writing these blogs or whatever they're called? Load of old rambling.

In the main Neville plays as a defensive midfielder, in-front of the back 4 for Everton. Can see him being put on Ramirez to try and take him out of the game.
-
The normal away section that Everton fans had was charged at £28, which is their category C game price. The Everton behind the goal had a much better deal at £20. We'll most likely also be a C category game for tickets, so looking at £28 for adults and £17 for kids. Not great.
-
Don't think Neville plays RB for them. Their new right winger looks very lively and will give whoever plays left back a problem.
-
You do know what a contract is?
-
The team we put out last night should be strong enough. 80% have played in the Prem for us.
-
Like I say, they'll have Brighton away coming up on the Friday after this game, surely they'd half an eye on that, whereas we won't be playing until the next Monday (WBA away), so might have a bit more scope as to the team we put out. Hard one to call.
-
Everton were £28 in the side stand yesterday (usual away bit) and £20 in the South Stand (their extra allocation for selling out the usual bit. Was £36 for us at Leeds last year. Guess they'll charge something mad like £30 for this game.
-
Actually scratch what I said earlier about it being on the Weds as we're playing SPurs at home the Sunday before, just seen Leeds are playing the Friday after this game, so how the f*ck they going to work out when to play it? Guess it doesn't matter a massive amount on the basis we will rotate so many players.
