Available quite probably but at a decent price... Most unlikely! We have been unlucky up front with Jay's return being delayed by his non-recovery and then Shane being injured in the way he was... Elia was brought in as a striker and in fairness he has done well, but I would rather wait to strengthen our strike force in a controlled and cost-effectiv emanner than adopt the Redknapp philosophy of over-spending for some journeyman donkey or some over-priced Brazilian who could not cut it...

We keep mentioning that we should have signed another striker but I have to ask who would we have signed that had the necessary quality? Don't say Ings as Burnley clearly were not going to let him go in January, and all credit to the lad himself he wanted to stay and help their relegation battle.. I really cannot think of anybody else who would have fitted the bill at a reasonable price for January...

Yoshi definately MOTM.. Good for him he has turned into a Mr reliable.

They will go for ex player and rising managerial star - Gary Rowett

Good!! Keep the rotten apple away..
-
They are doing just fine with Eddie Howe - They would be stark raving mad to let this twitchy dinosaur anywhere near the club.
-
Bugger.. QPR will be better prepared for Saturday now...

Osvaldo gets more chances than an avid Monopoly player... keep him way away is what I say.. Bad apple who would upset the cart again very easily.
-
He was indeed. I was one of many supporters who met him around the time of "the Lets Go Wilde" carve up.. He was a nice guy though.

Fantastic news - Good lad Prowsey

Agree with all of that.

The man is class, and I could not think of a better person in the club for Ward-Prowse to learn from, both in terms of an advanced midfield playmaker role and his free kick ability. What a statement of intent that would be if we land him...

He is great at League 1 level, but even in his prime he was only just good enough for the Prem, and I do not think he is anywhere near that now. Yes he had 1 brilliant game on Saturday against top Prem opposition but I am pretty sure he could not do it consistently now.

To be honest, the best I can remember (in my own humble opinion) only played for England a handful of times - mainly due to injury or being overlooked by a numpty manager, but he was perhaps ahead of his time - Great defender and great going forward. Paul Reaney.

Nothing... In RonKo we trust.
-
Last summer has taught me not to be concerned.. If we lose some quality OK, we will replace with some quality. RonKo is the most important man, and with his hand on the tiller I am quite relaxed.
-
Would love it if he chinned Harry.... Triffic!
-
Advanced midfield with a brief to create - Right up his street and something he does very, very well. As other have said, he needs to score a few goals now though.
-
No need for us to have played at full tilt as Ipswich were not troubling us unduly.. Also, the pitch was awful, the weather conditions were terrible and it was the type of night when you just had to go and get a job done in the best way you can - And we did that very well indeed.

His partnership with Rijkaard as the Dutch team centre backs were up there with the best in the world during the late 80's, early 90's. Rijkaard had the finesse, but Koeman was the brains as well as the brawn, and his distribution was as good as anyone I have ever seen play the game. Strange in some ways that I see Alderweireld and his eye for a pass being modelled on how Koeman used to ping a football about with consumate ease.

I think you have nailed the roles of both of them nicely - they compliment each other and it is absolutely right that Erwin gets his share of the plaudits too.
-
Yep totally agree - Always a good reminder in case some feel like wetting the bed again when we lose a couple...
-
Agree - Gardos played his best ever game for us so far, a performance that will give him confidence, and us confidence in him. Good man Florin.

Sanchez is a fantastic player but has not really had a break yet so might be tiring a bit over this xmas stretch, and Welbeck has picked up a knock so might not be at full tilt either. However, Cazorla is the man on form and can do damage in the same manner David Silva can for Man City - We must watch him carefully. Otherwise we have the wherewithall to nail this side, and with home advantage with a SMS crowd behind them it is very do-able.

Osvaldo was good enough, but he never wanted to come here in the first place and that attitude together with his general "bad head" was why he failed. Granted Ramirez has been a disappointment, and with hindsight I'm not convinced that our management team now would give him a second look - Certainly RonKo feels we can do without him. Maybe £4m is too low then if you put it like that, so I guess what remains is that we pass up on him. £12m for him is far too high.
