  1. Eddie Kendricks ??!!!
  2. Ring in and ask for Girls Aloud then !
  3. If it turns out to be a wind up or an inaccuracy then that makes you a grade A pillock ! This is far too bloody serious for " the love of a good rumour" !
  4. Out with the old and IN with the new........... I bloody hope so anyway ! It could be a long day where concentrating at work will be hard to do !
  5. I don't know him but I know he has posted accurately before. I just did'nt want to start bringing the forum down with excess traffic tho..
  6. Does that really matter as long as we have a club to support, and any deal they facilitate moves us forward again ?
  7. Given the £12k per week he was reported to have been on I would suggest not!
  8. A Trajedy ! R.I.P.
  9. He is already God ! I would always want him to remain that way and to that end I agree with Nick
  10. Weston is right.. On the flip side you would moan at anything.. Up The Saints !
  11. Its not just you ! There are a great many feel this way both on this forum and those that do not post. Whatever which way you spin it, he has been involved to greater or lesser degrees as part of the clubs hierarchy for the past 2 years and is part of the problem. I really do not see him as part of the solution.
  12. Agree with you about somebody who appears hungry and self-motivated. Prefer Boothroyd or Cotterill personally as both are quite young, are cvery capable and have points to prove.
  13. Thats where I go ! Great entertainment.
  14. Being a senior part of the non-executive/leadership team between the summers of 2006 and 2008 - A time when the boardroom and all the major decision makers were as disjointed and dis-united as a cabinet in John Major's government, and rendered the constructive running of our club "very difficult" to put it kindly ! He also never gave any confidence that he was fully in control of his brief and his constant desire to wash the clubs dirty linen in the full media spotlight was bloody annoying. I still maintain that he appointed Dodd/Gorman and hoped to keep them in situ for as long as... until the televised debacle against Bristol Rovers rendered that impossible. Then Lawrie bailed him out with Pearson. I'm sure he is an affable enough chap and I commend him for the contribution he has made to the club in other areas, but if Lowe hammered in the first and final nails into the coffin - The likes of Crouch, Hone and Wilde hammered in enough of their own in the time inbetween.
  15. Agree: If somebody came to me with such an opening gambit, I would tell them to immediately "P1ss off" and would feel unable to take them seriously again ! It was wind of Kinnock proportions I'm afraid...
  16. As we are in administration all choices and decisions are completely out of our hands ! Fry is employed to drive the best deal for the creditors and not SFC, and like it or not that is what he is appearing to do.
  17. Which is more than Idiot George gave him ! He was "loan fodder" for ages until Pearson started to include him in the squads. I Think Pearson showed more astuteness in beleiving in one of our young budding talents than Georgie did in beleiving in the overpaid, constantly injured and lazy Idiakez for example.
  18. Indeed, it was Pearson who brought Gillett in from the wilderness and started including him in the matchday squads. I'm sure that sadly for us, the lad may well re-unite with the man who beleived in him during his time at Saints.
  19. But he too was involved at senior level at the club in greater of lesser degrees for two years - During which time the boardroom was riven with division ( which he contributed to) to render it totally ineffective. He played his part in our demise too !
  20. Never thought I would say "Cheers for that" to one of our Blue Few neighbours, but........ "Cheers For That". Is Tony a Pompey fan by the way ? Don't know who I prefer then - Pompey Tony or Lifelongcherry..
  21. I'm with you there ! Now if your acquaintance had thrown Rupert under a black cab of course.....
  22. Exactly ! There are various contexts it could have been said but if it was true then its nothing we did not know anyway ! It must be a light news day Duncan !
  23. Nnnnnnnnnnnoooooooooooooo!!!!
  24. But thats one of the (many) major downsides of being in Administration - We ( or rather the club) have no choices in the matter ! Fry can do as he pleases and his number 1 priority is to drive the best deal for the creditors. We just have to sit aside and wait I'm afraid.
  25. Well I never !! A man of the people in his own dreams....
