Tehran is in the “initial phase” of designing nuclear-powered submarines, says a senior Iranian Navy commander. *"Initial steps to design and build nuclear submarine propulsion systems have begun," Admiral Abbas Zamini, the technical deputy Navy Chief, told semi-official Fars news agency on Tuesday. A nuclear-powered submarine would allow “very long-distance operations." "All countries have the right to use peaceful nuclear technology, including for the propulsion system of its vessels," added the admiral. http://www.rt.com/news/iran-build-nuclear-submarine-638/ Talking of giving away secret info how about this as well? Top-secret embarrassment: Stealth ship laptop missing in Taiwan A top-secret computer from a state-of-art stealth warship has vanished, the Taiwanese military revealed on Monday. There are fears the laptop and its classified content is now in the hands of the Chinese. *The computer was installed on board a Kuang Hua No. 6 class guided missile vessel. It belonged to a private contractor and was used for testing confidential communication equipment and procedures. Last month it disappeared, while the missile ship was stationed at the southern port of Tsoying, Taiwan's largest naval base. An internal investigation failed to determine how it happened. http://www.rt.com/news/taiwan-secret-computer-missing-573/ .

Must be very difficult being perfect like you then when you hear that 4.2% of British Motorists were caught Speeding last year on either a fixed speed camera, mobile speed trap or stopped by the Police. Say approx 1,596,000 road users. If we assume that on average the collection was £60 for each ticket -- then that works out to a grand total of: £95,760,000 ...or nearly a hundred...million...pounds! I can guess what that character in "The Royals" would say... "Road Safety my ar**" .

Falkland Islanders Choose to hold a referendum
Saint in Paradise replied to Colinjb's topic in The Lounge
If your forgetful PM, "call me Dave". is so keen on a referendum how come he refuses point blank to let you lot have one about staying in the E.U. or whatever it's called these days? -
Why not just put a small stage in the middle of the stadium, get the Queen and Phil on it. Get them to say "welcome to the olympics" they go away and then within 10 minutes the events can start. At the end same stage but get rthem to say "thanks for coming it's past my bed time so bugger off" There millions saved.

That 30,000 is not enough for a complete week of TBH wages

I went to St Marys from NZ to watch a Leaque 1 game. This was between AP getting the push and NA being appointed so does that count?

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/high-school-graduation-speaker-tells-students-not-special-145709954.html Ignore any advert that comes on then watch the video, I know it's in the U.S.A. but it is very true and at times very funny. Especially the start when it talks about weddings. .

Tell and show how to.

I wouldn't hold your breath about that. I have no confidence in the FL having the guts.

I must admit I didn't expect this thread to last so long or take on the direction it has gone. I only posted it to have a gentle dig at dune and thought it would get about 2 or 3 replies before dieing like all my others threads do. My father was in the RN 1939 - 1945 and was in fact invalided out so I have the utmost respect towards the men who fought and died and ended up buried away from their homelands. .

I doubt that they are even aware of such a dish let alone how to make it

When the vote is taken on June 25th will they name names about who voted "For" and who voted "Against" ? Only with some of the idiots down there stupid enough to physically attack "No" voters would YOU vote no? Like Old Nick I can see them living on and on and so for me "getting away with it" yet again. :x

That looks like the US graveyard and I only saw French and US flags in video. Hollande went to the British graveyard. One point to remember though that if it wasn't for men like those who died a lot of us wouldn't be here.

I thought we had a section specially for minority sports called "General Sports" ???

Well to be fair that was rather a long word for those poor dears.

Francois Hollande has become the first French President in history to visit the graves of thousands of British soldiers who died liberating his country on D-Day. As rain poured down at the end of his visit, Mr Hollande said: "The rain doesn't matter, being here does." He shook hands with Parachute Regiment veterans, as well as serving British and French Army soldiers. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/history/world-war-two/9314451/Francois-Hollande-becomes-first-French-president-to-visit-D-Day-war-graves.html I am amazed that it has taken a French president so long to do this but remembering De Gaulle.....

Any thoughts about this? "GB athletes will know the words to the national anthem before the London Games, UK Athletics head coach Charles van Commenee says. The Dutchman believes the step is necessary to head off potential criticism over "plastic Brits" - athletes who have switched allegiance to represent Team GB at the Olympics. Van Commenee said: "They know the words, or they will". http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/olympics/18335642

I know I am a tad forgetful at times but this beggars belief to me, how about you? A US mother has been charged with child abuse after she allegedly drove with her baby on the roof of her car. The one-month-old boy was found in a car seat on the ground near an intersection in Phoenix, Arizona, early on Saturday. The mother Catalina Clouser, 19, has also been charged with driving under the influence after admitting she had been smoking cannabis. Officer James Holmes said Clouser and her boyfriend had been at a nearby park on Friday evening. "The suspect's boyfriend and the suspect, along with her baby, left the park to purchase beer at around 11pm," he said. "The boyfriend was stopped by Phoenix officers and arrested for aggravated DUI after he was suspected of, and processed for being impaired while driving with the baby in the vehicle." A police report said Clouser drove to a friend's house, smoked more cannabis and then drove home after forgetting her son was on the roof of the car. She only realised what had happened when she got home. http://news.msn.co.nz/worldnews/8477683/mum-charged-with-leaving-baby-on-roof-of-car
