Unless the football creditors thing that HMRC is trying to end happens then they become like everyone else owed money.

Two very recent cases over here, one adult football ref and one childrens rugby ref have both been attacked on the pitch. One of two Auckland referees assaulted in the past month says he hopes his colleagues aren't as lenient on players in the future. Len Gattsche required surgery after his jaw was broken after he sent a player off in a second division soccer match between Manukau City and Tauranga City. Since then, a spectator has been arrested after allegedly running onto the field in a children's rugby game and grabbing the throat of a referee. Mr Gattsche says he's had to give up refereeing, forfeit a working holiday and work less. He also lost feeling in his chin and doctors say it may take two years to return, Fairfax reported. "I probably shouldn't say it but I think some of the referees are allowing it to go on, abuse, things like that," he said. Former Samoan international Tama Fasavalu, 36, has been charged with assault and is due to reappear in Manukau District Court next month. Meanwhile, the spectator allegedly involved in the rugby incident at Papatoetoe at the weekend said he couldn't believe things had gone this far. Falefiaoalii Faalolo, 50, who is due in Manukau District Court on an assault charge on Friday, told the New Zealand Herald he was "sort of embarrassed" but disagreed with some of the allegations against him. http://news.msn.co.nz/nationalnews/8472417/dont-be-so-lenient-injured-ref-says .

We could only just afford a very very small reception so there was no worry about having music and having to decide a first dance tune. Same reason I didn't have a stag night - lack of money.

TV watchers may want to hit the mute button for a moment of silence. The man who invented the remote control has died at the age of 96, the Chicago Sun Times says. Eugene Gene Polley died on Sunday in a Chicago hospital. Polley invented the first wireless TV remote control in 1955 while working as an engineer for Zenith Electronic in Chicago. He received a $US2000 ($A2024) bonus for his historic innovation but later earned an Emmy award in 1997 for his contributions to television. The company marketed the device as the Flash-Matic. "A flash of magic light from across the room turns set on, off or changes channels," a company advertisement said. "And you remain in your easy chair!" The device only worked with Zenith's Flash-Matic TV, using a light beam that controlled photo cells in each corner of the TV. .

Olympic Torch bearers selling out on eBay

In the BBC article:- "In the listing, viewed by more than 1,500 people, Mr Wolley told potential bidders it was "Your chance to own a piece of history," and promised 10% of the sale price would be donated to a school refurbishment programme in Uganda." Wow how generous is that? A whole 10% http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-18142358 -
Well spotted Sue but DD is not the only one by a long chalk.

oubt the authenticity of the R.J Mitchell "Spitfire bird" quotes though. He hated the name and, when told of the naming decision, is quoted as saying "just the sort of bloody silly name they would choose." http://archive.org/details/TheFirstOfTheFew The above was not my grandmother.

With respect rallyboy what do you think of my idea that I have just posted here:- http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?38133-PMs-for-registered-users&p=1371987#top .
-
Just read Rallyboys post in the pompey takeover thread saying about how he cant make or recieve PMs. He has said that he won't pay the full fee so that he won't spend too much time on here BUT how about if he or other registered users paid say 3 GBP they could be allowed to send and recieve PMs??? He still wouldn't have to stay on here for very long to send or recieve them. I would love to get Rallyboys PMs about pompey and I have a proven record of never ever repeating any PMs that I get from anyone.

Nuclear power was going to the the best thing since sliced bread and look where that has got the world. GM plants will become an even bigger danger because greedy people will find ways around any so called safe guards. They won't care how they do it either , just remember the tobaco companies and pharmaceutical companies they think that sometimes they are above any laws. Oh yes I suspect brown envelopes might be involved as well. -

Ask the farmers who have been sold gm seeds to grow crops and I bet you get a disturbing answer. In the good old days you would get seeds from your crops to re-plant the next year but that has been ended on purpose with gm seeds so you have to buy new ones every year. In a perfect world gm would be fantastic but with the people who will end up controlling it only interested in money and power......... -
To me until they are liquidated and gone forever they will still be getting away with it. HMRC have a lot to answer for as does that woman registrar - see women and football don't mix.

Alpine, the UK is almost at or has indeed arrived at the point where it has been decided that it will be a major home for any people who don't want to reside in their own country. That is now the point of the UK.
