A Gordon Strachan trained team would have had no issue with our Xmas schedule. He had them the fittest I have ever seen from a Saints squad in nearly 40 years of watching them.

I think I'm correct in saying that Kelvin Davis's job is to act as a link between players and management. Given that I would love to be a fly on the wall to see if any/many players have been having a whinge about the manager ! If they have presumably Kelvin has to feed that back to Les and co ?

i know what you are saying but nobody runs around like a headless chicken in this team......a trot or a brief jog but not much running, it's far too slow for that sort of thing

It may have been lost in translation I suppose but Puel said on Solent we were unlucky after scoring first. Merrington jumped all over it and stopped just short of saying that was bull****. He then made the good point that Puel needs to be a bit more honest. I could just imagine Koeman saying after that "nah, we were not good enough" and he would have been right. I am sick to the back teeth of hearing about good possibilities, interesting options, blah blah blah. The system and style of play is crap and how Reed and co can sit there and kid themselves this is still "The Southampton Way" is beyond me.

Puel said on Solent it's not possible to play the pressing game for the whole match......well Spurs managed it for about 70 mins compared with our 15 mins !

I would be very disappointed if he ended up at West Brom, for him as much as the fear we couldn't or wouldn't pay the same wages as them. Everton would be a better fit for him than Pulis and co. i don't expect Saints to register even a flicker of interest.

Superb. i didn't want JayRod anywhere near the starting line up but fair play, he's looking more like his old self, that second goal will do wonders for him.
