I agree but what I think it is with Redmond as opposed to Long is his whole demeanour. He always, and I mean always, looks to blame someone else when he makes an error. If they think signing VVD will solve their issues they are in for a shock. They need a keeper, a full back or two and that midfield sorted. It might help if they had a coach who knew something about defending as well. On the plus side today probably put his price up a few million more such is their desperation.

This manager and the last simply do not play a style which suits Austin, ie get in the penalty area as soon as you can and be the Johnny on the spot to put the ball in the net. I don’t buy this “he’s too slow” stuff....**** me we hardly play with a high intensity anymore, he’s more in danger of falling asleep waiting for the bloody ball.
