If you lose the fanbase, or a large percentage of them, if you cant get a word of support from your Chairman and/or if your players are not particularly enamoured with you or the system you are trying to get them to play then you are on a hiding to nothing.

If there hasn't been an announcement by 6 pm Thursday he is staying IMHO -
Thats quite a major blip with the system then, not helped by putting all the pressure on the lone striker and the inability of the creative midfielders....or any midfielders come to that to score a goal on even a semi regular basis. I'm glad you refrained from using the word "quick" anywhere in that description of our playing style
-
But 15 points difference, why can't you see that ?
-
thats my main concern and why I'm not sure he is on his way out.
-
well if that's the way Kruger, Reed and co see it then Puel's revue with the board tomorrow won't last very long.
-
as opposed to previous seasons when they all went round together, did their hand holding and cheering in front of The Northam only for half of them to **** of within a month ? It meant nothing.

Think it's harsh to say McCarthy and Pied have been a failure when they have had long term injuries.
-
This without a doubt, wonderful few minutes that was. Aside from that Milan at home.
-
The bottom line i suppose is if we had this home record yet we were losing matches 3-2 or 4-3 and everyone was going home entertained then 8-10th, a cup final and some bloody good football would be more than enough to save/keep his job. Its the boring football, the questionable selections and sheer **** poor substitutions during a match that will do for him if he goes.....unless the player unrest thing is true in which case there really is no other choice.

End of an era - the last man to play at the Dell retires

Good shout, I think that is correct. -
Excellent summing up of the problems we have. Glad you mentioned it because I'm sick to the back teeth of Redmond in particular screwing up then turning round and moaning at someone else !

think Mourinhio would spontaneously combust if that happened -
Moral of the story - footballers should not support their friends and fellow countrymen on Social Media cos some **** head pours over their tweets looking for dubious links regarding transfers

What channel is a pundit on now then ? Havent seen him on MOTD for it seems like years and he isnt on Sky. Has he joined the Liverpool love in on BT ?

well that's just mental yeah !

its about time JayRod told his family to shut the **** up on twitter, it's not doing him any favours and won't wherever he ends up !

The annoying thing is the Club have ditched their own marketing ploy of The Southampton Way. People have recognised that as being a team that plays a high intensity pressing game since our return to the Premier League. That has been dismantled in one season by this manager and now we are playing like, yeah as mentioned, a WBA.
-
No service to him whatsoever. I'm sure playing in Italy he is well used to the lone striker role but it only works if someone gets the ball to him. I doubt Puel would do the unthinkable and play someone up front with him just to see if it works out.
-
of course he did utter crap. I dont dispute there is a possibility of him ending up at Chelsea but this situation ? really ?
-
Hope you are right about VVD but I got an email from Ron last year when I renewed my season ticket and that didn't work out too well
-
Well it will go up, no doubt about it. Would be nice if the board hold their nerve and do as they did with Morgan, we benefit two ways then, another year of VVD and an even bigger transfer fee.
