  1. seems you haven’t grasped basic maths either :-)
  2. To be honest we are in a much better position with two games left than I dared hope for about three weeks ago. To win on Tuesday which will as good as make us safe is something I would have grabbed with both hands after the Chelsea result.
  3. To be fair you could have said most of that even if we had won against Everton. Any positive result for Swansea would have either left them two points behind or put them one point ahead and with each teams last match they would have been favourites. If we win they will need to turn round at least an 8 goal difference, not very likely.
  4. Only if the win is against Swansea, unless we think Arsenal will definitely beat Huddersfield. Two wins and yeah we are fine :-)
  5. I think he’s going for a point then put all the eggs in the beating Swansea basket. Win or draw we will still need to beat Swansea with that Man City game left and Swansea home to Stoke on the same day.
  6. a tad optimistic but I get your drift
  7. lose to Swansea we have had it anyway.....esp if we fail to win today, but you know that !
  8. yeah, my initial thought when they scored was bugger but if we are gonna get out if this they are a bit irrelevant and they will have something to play for against Swansea
  9. thats ok as you would therefore take three points away from Swansea to leave them on 34 !
  10. Obviously fake news. The bestest fans in the world would have taken over Bury to see their brave boys screw up a chance of the playoffs
  11. As per usual your post includes having a go at other fans because it would differ from your view. FYI we would not have won that game without McCarthy - not just the wonderful save at the end but others throughout the game, his handling, his punching. He did everything to try and calm and help out a dodgy back three. Tadic will rightly get all the headlines, his best game for us in ages, but anyone who tips their hat to McCarthy as MOTM is far from "clueless"
  12. If we win the next two we wont need a result against Man City. Huddersfield would need four points due to a worse goal difference from their last three games. That would take a massive effort given who they have to play.
  13. umm.......must admit I’m more confident of catching Huddersfield and possibly West Ham. All our eggs are no longer in the Swansea basket which is a huge plus.
  14. in a nutshell. Or bring in a young, upcoming manager if Hughes goes.
  15. The only league game I have missed at home since 1 January 2017 is WBA this season. Therefore in roughly a season and a half I have seen Saints win a piddling 4 home league games - Leicester and Palace last season, West Ham and Everton this. Pathetic doesn’t even cover that record.
  16. Excellent and very revealing. Love to know the source(s) for this !
  17. dont bother cashing it in, your money’s safe
  18. I think the FA Cup run has a lot to do with it. Just when he needed a result a bloody cup game came along, we won, and that extended his job for another fortnight
  19. think you can get on his back. Hughes won’t pick him again.
  20. I think they will be kissing your renewal goodbye then
  21. well up to a point he's correct, total waste out wide and as for mismanaged thats just about everyone since last July !
  22. This is part of the reason Les Reed needs to go. We are always so very very slow bringing in players and thats why we lose out on them. Same with managers. Look at how long they farted about getting rid of Puel when virtually everyone knew he was going. Same with Pellagrino. We simply cannot afford to wait around after 13 May whatever happens, as they said on Solent.
  23. Very very good listen. They more or less confirm a lot of fans suspicions on many issues.
  24. and once again one of your posts starts by insulting fellow supporters........you really are a bore. get home, sober up and watch a replay of that first 45 minutes......then take a look at Chelsea who basically didn’t break into top gear at any point. Last week we matched and at times bettered them, a crazy 10 mins did for us. We were nowhere near that level today.
  25. I sincerely hope he isn’t dropped for Stephens next week.
