It may have been lost in translation I suppose but Puel said on Solent we were unlucky after scoring first. Merrington jumped all over it and stopped just short of saying that was bull****. He then made the good point that Puel needs to be a bit more honest. I could just imagine Koeman saying after that "nah, we were not good enough" and he would have been right. I am sick to the back teeth of hearing about good possibilities, interesting options, blah blah blah. The system and style of play is crap and how Reed and co can sit there and kid themselves this is still "The Southampton Way" is beyond me.

I would be very disappointed if he ended up at West Brom, for him as much as the fear we couldn't or wouldn't pay the same wages as them. Everton would be a better fit for him than Pulis and co. i don't expect Saints to register even a flicker of interest.

Totally agree. I'm not sure what the club has done wrong but it keeps coming back to the same thing for me, if he hadn't been part of the winning Portugal team in the summer would any of this be happening now ? I think not.

If this is for the current season only I dont see how the Boro guy can be listed in Excelled whilst Ranieri is listed in Disappointed. He has got them to the Champions league last 16 you know. Ok the league has been poor, up until Saturday anyway, but its one hell of an achievement.

This. I cant see us getting into Europe for quite some time. The non performers from last season have picked themselves up and we lack goalscorers. As has been mentioned on here and on Solent last night why put in all that hard work to qualify last season then blow it all away with a questionable team selection process.
