Harry Redknapp has been doing stuff like that for years.

So the catalyst of that team Lallana was dreaming of playing in whilst captaining Southampton has gone then ? Oh dear Adz, what a shame
-
Obviously an attempt to balance out the well constructed and pon the money article about Lovren the other day !
-
We dont know that Clyne might not be left back this season ! You could make an argument for not bringing anyone in that could harm the youngsters to be honest.
-
I would love us to get Micah Richards.
-
Wether the "prefer to join Saints" bit is right or not I can certainly understand a reluctance to join QPR

Well for one I didnt say I wanted Fonte to extend his contract, I just pointed out that it looks like contracts are currently being looked into. But since you mention it I think he would be fine as cover beyond this coming season. And if you seriously believe a player of Cork's ability may be surplus to requirements in favour of someone we have seen in the first team for what ? An hour maximum ? Oh my ! :-( Nothing like crammig all those eggs in one basket eh ?
-
I think the fact all these contract extensions are being currently announced indicates the Cork/Fonte situations will soon be sorted. I'm sure their contracts take more negotiation than Isgrove etc. If we havent heard about Jose and Jack within the next couple of weeks I might wet the bed

Things could be worse - your memories of 2007-2009

Bristol City at home in January I think it was. The season Portaloo was in charge. It was the first and so far only time I couldn't be bothered to go to a match I could make. And in over 35 years I have missed no more than a dozen home league matches all told. The most desperate of times, nobody will ever come close to Markus Liebherr for saving our great club from oblivion. -
If he isn't careful Liverpool may drop their interest and decide they don't want someone who can cause this much aggro. After Suarez might be a case of once bitten.........
-
Is that a smile smile or just an ordinary no news smile ? :-D

I think a banner saying thanks to Rickie is the more classy way to go, its more likely to get in as well. And even if they are too thick to get it - Lallana and Lovren (possibly) - then nobody else will miss the message to them ! Silence can quite often be better than a thousand words.....

Dusan Tadic - DONE DEAL, official and everything
beatlesaint replied to S-Clarke's topic in The Saints
Whats happened ? Honestly, you leave this forum for a few hours sleep and to live your life, come back and its all changed ! Last night he was going to Everton.......whats happened to that one then ? -
Yeah, he is taking that impression he does of Gerrard a little too far
-
Exactly right. We don't need the money so let him see if he likes playing for the reserves for a few months.

You think that Reed and Koeman dont talk then ? MP and Reed spoke everyday, both said that, so I would think its the same with Koeman. Transfer kitty has come from the prize/Sky money for finishing 8th hasn't it ? Add to that the players departures which has gone straight into that pot. The reason they want out is because its the big clubs that are chasing them and offering Europe, or in Shaw's case its joining one of the biggest clubs in the World. None of them have jumped ship or are threatening to for a move to Aston Villa, Stoke or West Ham are they ? Now that would be a major concern.

I think most of them drag on. Unless you study other clubs as closely as Saints the first you normally hear about a transfer is on Sky or in the paper and quite often even then it takes a few days to actually get over the line. I used to think it was a Cortese thing where he was such a hard bargainer but it seem not. And of course once the player is not playing in the UK that immediately slows it down, or thats how it looks. -
Going by the yellow taxi in one of the photos and a couple of the shops I would have said that was in Bournemouth and not Southampton.
-
Well as it seems Lallana and Shaw were done deals before Koeman arrived that was never likely, despite Lallana's downright lie in front of a BBC camera saying that he was looking forward to meeting Koeman. As for Lovren and Morgan we have no way of knowing that they will not talk to Koeman. Lovren is on holiday so as yet there is no evidence of strike action and Morgan was only knocked out the World Cup just over 12 hours ago. If I was Lovren I would love the opportunity to play under a manager who was one of the best and reached the highest level playing in my position, so much you could learn. But most footballers do not think like that. We need to see how those two, especially Morgan, play out over the next couple of weeks.

Its what I would do without a doubt. These prima donnas at every club not just ours need stamping down on !
-
Wouldn't it have Veho written on it or has Kat got her ironing board ready to iron the transfer on a few hundred shirts ? At least its got stripes..........
-
Thats it is it ? He could have saved a few quid and taken a 4 line message under Births, Deaths and Marriages for that ! Stupidly I thought it would have slightly more content than that
