Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 0-1 Swansea
beatlesaint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Didn't exoect Swansea to be so negative, especially first half, the clearly came for a point. thought Clyne, second half, was woeful especially going forward. Very unusual fir him to be so poor. -
I will say it now, that boy will play for England and a club bigger than us unfortunately. He looks like he has played in the team for three years never mind three full games. It's a long long time since I have been so impressed with a young player. i hope we have him on a long contract before Wenger and co start sniffing round.
-
Why oh why did we sign such a bloody nut job. This business about looking at the players character etc before signing them clearly didn't apply with this ****.
-
Thats great thanks, at last a copy that can be downloaded and burned to disc if anyone wants to
-
Game being on Sunday is a bonus, I would be surprised if he isn't on the bench, will be back Friday surely ?
-
2 broken ribs and a punctured lung and you say man up ? Lol, priceless !
-
I hope its enough to keep him here then :-)

Totally agree, this has been going on since around last June, ok I can understand that Ronald wanted a decent look at him but to leave it so long doesnt exactly give the guy an overwhelming desire to be loyal to Southampton I wouldnt think.
-
Without hi jacking this thread (no pun intended), did all the stuff he threw into a skip get saved or is there no way of knowing ?
-
he has played 45 mins of an U21 match and a few minutes against Ipswich since what ? End of Nov/early Dec ? You can't come straight back in after a six week layoff and carry on where you left off from. Doesnt make him a bad player having a bad hour, he wasn't alone yesterday. Thats why it amazes me that some people think Jay Rod will be back and firing on all cylinders for the end of the season. He simply won't be, the longer a player is out the worse it is for them coming back into form.
-
Apparently not anymore seeing that Norwich don't pick him !
-
David Connolly for me.

Eljero Elia - Confirmed 6 Month Loan
beatlesaint replied to Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd's topic in The Saints
Wasnt registered in time for Ipswich, fine for the next round and beyond. -
Another vote for Sir Rickie from me

Pochettino improved a fair few players when he was here, Steven Davis and Jay Rod the most obvious two I can think of. Koeman has just taken into onto a whole different level, nobody has gone backwards or not improved that I can see.
-
Yes and that's why people shouldn't be upset if we don't do much in this transfer window. I think he said something about identified players to take us to the next level !! Any more signings we do make before this window shuts I would think would be loan signings probably just to act as cover, unless a bargain comes along, which they rarely do in January.

I wonder sometimes what these managers see. Unbelievable.
-
Incredible week, incredible team spirit, incredible manager I can see why Les Reed rates Harrison Reed so much, he looks the business, like he's been playing there for years. Elia and Mane in the same team and both on form will be amazing, he looks like he is ready to take the chance Ronald has given him with both hands. very very proud of this club :)

Newcastle United vs Saints - Build up
beatlesaint replied to Ulrich van Gobbel's topic in The Saints
No not as bad as he is saying. Like I say, technically its correct but the reality is we were always without three of them. -
Newcastle United vs Saints - Build up

No cos he includes Jay Rod, Mane and Yoshida who were never available anyway ! They did the same on South Today. While its true its not exactly unknown already. So its those three plus Toby, Vic and Morgan. -
I think the fact Saturday week is Cup week will be a blessing. Ok Vic and Toby may not be back for Swansea but Morgan should be with those two not too far behind hopefully.
-
Thank goodness for the FA Cup weekend then, should only miss two league matches.
-
its the sort of thing Yeovil or Exeter fans would do if they won at Old Trafford......or if QPR won an away game anywhere......not what we in 4th overtaking the team in 3rd would do
-
Seriously ?
