Does anyone seriously still believe that Miss Liebherr intends to put this club up for sale in the summer ? This is one hell of a smokescreen if she does !

There is no comparison between this squad and the one WGS had. Niemi and Beattie are the only two who would get in, nobody really thinks Oakley and Marsden are better than what we have now......do they ?

Some of the football the team plays under Poch is fantastic, there is no doubt about that. There was a spell in the first half yesterday where Liverpool were on the backfoot big time. It happened against Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal at home as well as away to Man Utd, Liverpool and Everton, all top 6 or 7 teams as you know. The only problem we have is not taking chances, trying to score the perfect goal or just not being ruthless enough in front of goal. Osvaldo was supposed to solve that, it didnt work out. The only difference between us and Liverpool yesterday was the quality of their strikers. The players have improved under him, wether you like it or not its a fact. But primarily they are a young team so they are still learning and developing. The problem with you and others on this board is you want jam tomorrow and it doesnt happen that way. Its not a myth they are playing well. Results dont always reflect performance, thats a fact.

I think we have the Arsenal syndrom of always trying to walk the ball into the net and score the perfect goal. Someone needs to put their foot through the ball but of course the only forward we have capable of that spends most his time either deep or out wide. Rickie has been totally wasted most of this season. He should be through the middle and up front, when all these balls start pinging into the box Lambert is nowhere near.

Only one player booked......Lallana. What a surprise, bet Clattenburg couldnt wait to pull that card out his pocket :-)

Aah, I see, but I was referring to the manager and his selection not the players. I have no doubt that Jos, Guly etc did their best, but as we know by now their best is just not good enough at this level.

Apart from the simple difference that fans have to pay extra to go to Cup games whilst the players, coaching staff and manager get paid to take part in the competition I suppose you might have a minor point. However if you had a job of work which involved three tasks and you only concentrated on one of those tasks would your bosses and colleagues have something to say about that ?

I dont think foreign managers new to English football actually get the FA Cup. Always strikes me that in Europe the domestic cup comps arent such a big deal. I hope if MP is still here next January he has learnt what it means to fans to get to Wembley.

I know Perez has done the press for all the cup games but maybe this time MP should have faced the media. I'm sure if we had gone in and reached the semi's or final Perez would not have been wheeled out then ! MP seriously mis-read this one for me. Very disappointed this evening and when I agree with Robbie Savage I know its bad !

For the first time today I feel Pochettino totally mis-read the situation. What a glorious chance to get to Wembley, even if only for the semi finals of the Cup. Absolutely ridiculous to make so many changes when we have so little to play for in the league. Such a waste of one hell of a chance to do something good in the comp. I bloody well hope Sunderland are drawn away to the winners of Man City/Chelsea or Arsenal/Liverpool then I shall at least feel a bit better about it !

This. Still amazes me that some fans just cannot see the passing, vision and link up play he brings to the team. The only issue with Lambert is when he doesn't play or has been injured it takes him a while to get up to speed......altho he didn't do badly today after a couple of weeks out :-)

Speaking as a pessimist even I have to admit that is utter bull****. Ask Arsenal and Man City as the only team to have taken a point off them in their last 7 and 9 matches respectively what chance Southampton being relegated ? Utter tosh pal.
