As I say it makes more sense at this stage of the season. Walked out on Villa didnt he when they told him there was no money ?
-
Where have you heard or seen this ? The BBC website is saying they sacked him. Walking out on them makes more sense.

I dont see that I'm afraid, today was definitely not a 9 out of 10 from Luke. He was much better second half but first half he was all over the place. In fact I expected him to go off half time, looked like he was struggling with injury a bit. Moses had the beating of him most of the half, sometimes his defending was a bit like he had taken lessons from Fox. I don't know if he was trying too hard cos it was his boyhood club but I reckon someone got hold of him half time as he was much better after the break.....but not a 9 performance. Now Clyne was a 9 performance......

that would not surprise me in the slightest !

Totally agree. It was so unfair to give the player his first taste of Premier League football by asking him to play out wide on the left where, lets be honest, he looked average at best. All MP has done is play him as a striker, bigged up his confidence and look how much he has improved in just the last 2-3 months never mind since August.

Yeah but I bet he doesn't mention that the first one of those was during HIS training session for the U21 match. *****.
-
I agree. I watched it and was gettinmg ready to be angry and disgusted and was left thinking WTF are some people on about ?

There wouldn't have been a club for Markus to buy without him. Do some research before making stupid comments, even if you do intend it as trolling.

If you go for Once A Saint do I get an acknowledgement and a free copy Duncan ?
-
All The Saints is the best of those three. What about "Once A Saint" as in the old Ted Bates saying "once a Saint, always a Saint" ?
-
This is the best news possible. Well chuffed with this
-
Oh come on, say what you like about Gerrard but you cannot say he is over rated. He has been and still is a fantastic player.
-
apparently in training his finishing is superb, according to Rickie interviewed on Solent after the game....so hopefully he isnt far away from improving it in a match environment.
-
On a serious note, has Roy been asked why he has overlooked Rickie Lambert bearing in mind he is the top scoring Englishman in the Prem ? Or has Gary Neville been asked on Monday Noght Football considering he is on the England coaching staff ?

So thats Lee and Chaplow of late who have had spells on the bench and then have been farmed out on loan. Hope we dont get many injuries, bench will look a bit desperate if we do.

Nigel Adkins to take Southampton to tribunal
beatlesaint replied to Only1Northam's topic in The Saints
I just think it would have reflected extremely well on the club if, just for once, they acted properly and paid Adkins up in full. We are not talking about some chancer like Redknapp here, we are talking about a man who led the club to back to back promotions and for me that deserves A) the recognition Cortese refuses to give him and B) his contract paid up in full with no animosity. For all the good NC has done it is such a shame the club act and look like a bunch of assholes when it could so easily be avoided. -
Well at least that explains why he was at St Mary's watching the QPR game given Reading have to play both yet

Saints charged by FA for failing to control players vs Norwich
beatlesaint replied to patred44's topic in The Saints
Yes we did, its nothing new......well the manager storming on bit is -
He has started one game, that was Davies's first, and he took him off. Has been on the bench since then so hasn't started a game for a month. Would be surprised if this was true given that.

Regarding the title of this thread.......at the moment the answer, for me, is a resounding yes. Sorry, I think the player is wonderful, but he aint doing us any favours at the moment. And please MP give the captain's aremband back to Rickie or Jose or Morgan....
-
Home to West Brom, West Ham and Stoke and a point against Liverpool (H), Sunderland, Reading or Swansea (A)
-
Why do you think they would have to "stump up anpother 38m" out of interest ? Dont forget we would have 4 years of parachute payments - the first two years of which are substantial - if the worst did happen.
-
We did it a lot under NA and we still do it a lot under MP. Problem is half the defence aint very bloody good at it and are more likely to under hit the ball as anything the keeper might do wrong. Step forward Jose in particular for this particular fault.
-
Cant agree with that. If he dropped deep at least he would occasionally be occupying the left back position. He is far too often caught in a no mans land near the half way line. Christ the number of times opponents get in behind him or occupy the wide open expanse of land where a decent or half decent left back should be is frightening. He is certainly lazy, totally agree with you on that. He will make a mistake, give the ball away then look behind to see what is happening. Getting back and trying to rectify the situation doesnt enter his head. Somebody a week or so ago said he was like Benali but without the sympathy. Only problem with that description is Franny, bless him, did actually know where he was supposed to be much of the time unlike this useless article. If MP cannot see just how poor this player is then I seriously am worried.

My view is whenever Adam is out injured it seems to take him a long, long time to get back to his best. Not criticising him or saying he isn't a good player etc, just stating what I believe to be true.
