This is the best news possible. Well chuffed with this
-
Oh come on, say what you like about Gerrard but you cannot say he is over rated. He has been and still is a fantastic player.
-
apparently in training his finishing is superb, according to Rickie interviewed on Solent after the game....so hopefully he isnt far away from improving it in a match environment.
-
On a serious note, has Roy been asked why he has overlooked Rickie Lambert bearing in mind he is the top scoring Englishman in the Prem ? Or has Gary Neville been asked on Monday Noght Football considering he is on the England coaching staff ?
-
So thats Lee and Chaplow of late who have had spells on the bench and then have been farmed out on loan. Hope we dont get many injuries, bench will look a bit desperate if we do.

Nigel Adkins to take Southampton to tribunal
beatlesaint replied to Only1Northam's topic in The Saints
I just think it would have reflected extremely well on the club if, just for once, they acted properly and paid Adkins up in full. We are not talking about some chancer like Redknapp here, we are talking about a man who led the club to back to back promotions and for me that deserves A) the recognition Cortese refuses to give him and B) his contract paid up in full with no animosity. For all the good NC has done it is such a shame the club act and look like a bunch of assholes when it could so easily be avoided. -
Well at least that explains why he was at St Mary's watching the QPR game given Reading have to play both yet

Saints charged by FA for failing to control players vs Norwich
beatlesaint replied to patred44's topic in The Saints
Yes we did, its nothing new......well the manager storming on bit is -
He has started one game, that was Davies's first, and he took him off. Has been on the bench since then so hasn't started a game for a month. Would be surprised if this was true given that.
-
Regarding the title of this thread.......at the moment the answer, for me, is a resounding yes. Sorry, I think the player is wonderful, but he aint doing us any favours at the moment. And please MP give the captain's aremband back to Rickie or Jose or Morgan....
-
Home to West Brom, West Ham and Stoke and a point against Liverpool (H), Sunderland, Reading or Swansea (A)
-
Why do you think they would have to "stump up anpother 38m" out of interest ? Dont forget we would have 4 years of parachute payments - the first two years of which are substantial - if the worst did happen.
-
We did it a lot under NA and we still do it a lot under MP. Problem is half the defence aint very bloody good at it and are more likely to under hit the ball as anything the keeper might do wrong. Step forward Jose in particular for this particular fault.
-
Cant agree with that. If he dropped deep at least he would occasionally be occupying the left back position. He is far too often caught in a no mans land near the half way line. Christ the number of times opponents get in behind him or occupy the wide open expanse of land where a decent or half decent left back should be is frightening. He is certainly lazy, totally agree with you on that. He will make a mistake, give the ball away then look behind to see what is happening. Getting back and trying to rectify the situation doesnt enter his head. Somebody a week or so ago said he was like Benali but without the sympathy. Only problem with that description is Franny, bless him, did actually know where he was supposed to be much of the time unlike this useless article. If MP cannot see just how poor this player is then I seriously am worried.
-
My view is whenever Adam is out injured it seems to take him a long, long time to get back to his best. Not criticising him or saying he isn't a good player etc, just stating what I believe to be true.
-
There was a lot of fiddle faddling going on today, not just from Lallana either.
-
Oh the penny has dropped then !! Yes they bloody well do, and in the first few matched under MP the midfield were doing that. You must have watched Rickie long enough now to suss out he is so much more to that team than a centre forward. Some of his passing, especially from out wide, is sublime.
-
Go away on a training camp and the manager takes his wife and stays in a different hotel ? He really is a piece of work - did he pay for her to go or QPR ? After the stories of Bond and co stumbling out of St Mary's worse for drink when they were here its hardly a surprise. As stated above, and people wonder why he never got the England job......
-
told you his press conference would be bull ! I pray we win this bloody game......
-
like you said - senile !
-
Cue the bull about Saints being a "triffc club, lot of good people down there, good support" blahg blah blah

List of players the experts of Saintsweb at some stage have written off
beatlesaint replied to ToreSF's topic in The Saints
Its a chat forum, people express their opinions about players. Some are proved right, some are proved wrong. I defy anyone to honestly say they have not come away from a match and made the off the cuff comment that "_____ is bloody rubbish". Its forgotten by the next game. This is exactly the same as that, except its written down and other people instead of just the person you were talking to, see it and add a comment, usually on here telling you you are a moron for having an opinion about player X that they dont share. Every player who has ever worn a Saints shirt will have been slagged off at some point. The serial offenders are nine times out of ten the players that are, in the context of the rest or majority of the team they play or played in, not as good. Simple as that. -
You really sure about that ?
-
I dont always agree with manji but in this instance he is right and you are wromg. Lowe was part of the problem but Lowe to be fair didn't realise he was bringing in a manager who probably only took the job to spite Mandric and openly had admitted he realised after just a week he had made a mistake coming here. Redcrapp did not give a toss while he was here. The stories of one of his staff coming out of St Mary's drunk after a match are well known as is the fact that before that Man Utd game that saw us go down with a whimper old 'arry didn t have a bloody clue what to do or who to pick - Kevin Phillips on the bench so Ormerod could play !!! Seriously ? The bloke always has someone else to blame when things dont go his way. Listening to some of the bull he has come out with the last few weeks is identical to the excuses he made whilst at Southampton.....the only difference is he doesn't refer to QPR as "they" like he did us !
