He had a definite plan yesterday which involved getting at Sunderland with pace, hence the selection of Mayuka and substitution involving De Ridder. Unfortunately it didnt work tho ! I found it a little strange that Jay Rod had his best game for us against Reading last time out and never got on the pitch yesterday, and that Mayuka who has been warming the bench since he came here suddenly gets a start when in 10 days time he will be off the the ACN. Why oh why Mayuka wasn't tried out wide was beyond me, his best cameo for the club being against Spurs when he ran at them and scared the living daylights out of them from the right wing. Just like the game itself the selections, tactics and general approach all seemed a bit "meh" really.

I totally agree. As was stated earlier NA will say he is out on Thursday in his weekly press conference, so why not say in the past week ? If people think keeping it quiet means Sunderland wont know they are seriously deluded. A knock or small injury then fair enough, play the guessing game, but with this, nothing to gain from it at all. -
I was there and it was my birthday Still is actually A wonderful memory, and the split second of silence seemed to last a lot longer when the ball hit the net !

Wow, you have a real bee in your bonnet about this one dont you ? Whilst you are correct that the club do love to anounce contract extensions and whilst its true that Puncheon can talk to other clubs in a months time am I not correct in thinking that his contract, despite that, still has 7 months to run ? It doesnt expire on 31 December, it expires on 30 June. He scored the winner yesterday sure, he has looked a decent player in a fair few matches this season yes but he isnt exactly THE man in a one man team is he ? Lets just see what happens with him in the next few months shall we ? Both on and off the pitch that is ! You do have a to slip your usual negative in regularly dont you Duncan ? Shame cos you are obviously an intelligent fella....and yes I did buy your book

Quite amusing the way he told the boo boys in the Northam to shut the **** up when Guly came on ! When they realised their error and started singing the Guly song Jose gently clapped them
-
You don't actually know that though do you ?
-
For anyone who does it make sure you dont start clapping too early as you will be celebrating the moment Man Utd sent us down in 2005 when they scored their winner in the 63rd minute
-
Good pricing, cant complain there.....I'm sure someone will however
-
Wow, you have just runied the possibilty of this getting to 10 pages of nonsense with that little bit of info
-
He's hardly alone tho when it comes to cheating and gamesmenship ? At least some of his dives look convincing as opposed to Lallana for example whose dives just look embarassing.

Even the opposition enjoyed it Funniest half time entertainment since Dennis Rofe used to try singing "Oh When The Saints..." Elliott Bennett @Ebenno88 Have to say @officialsaints half time entertainment, best I have seen for a long time. Good old relay race followed by a gangnam style dog!

He only asked if it was because he was from "your neck of the woods", nobody has called you a skate ffs. You can live or be born in Portsmuff and still support Saints cant you ? Calm down man. FWIW re your original point then what would you suggest is done ? There is a suite at St Mary's named after him, I dont really see what else could be done to remember him beyond whats already out there.
-
what the hell are you on about ?
-
He was adequate in The Championship, he has a great delivery into the penalty area, thats it. He was a long way from being one of our best players last season unless we discount Davis, Jos, Fonte, Morgan, Cork, Lallana and Lambert
-
Oh yeah, f'sure As has already been said he has started making his excuses just in case it goes pear shaped already. Saved Spuds and that lot down the road, screwed up with us.......I really hope he makes it 2-2 !!!!
-
Yeah looks like you are, must be a bastard travelling all the way from Eastleigh
-
Thats right....so presumably thats another injury he picked up after the Leeds game ?
-
yeah, its almost like he will need to be a completely different player to force Ramirez out.......Messi perhaps ?
-
We have let in just 2 goals in the three games Shaw has started and the defence has looked more solid. It has to have something to do with the left back actually occupying that position and not going walkabouts which was pulling the rest of the defence out of shape. No longer will we have to see Hansen draw those bloody great big green squares where there should be a left back on MOTD
-
Why ? He isn't dead or ill is he ? WTF........

Supposedly drying out overnight and tomorrow morning with the odd shower or light rain later in the afternoon. Nothing drainage cant handle I'm sure !
