Given he is now supposedly out unti December/January and it will take him a further 3 months probably to get up to speed after such a long lay off I would be signing it now if I was him. Nobody is gonna want him until they know he is the player he was before the injury so I would think its his best form of security.

Spot on, if Rogers is such a clever bugger you would have thought he would know Rickie needs game time regularly. oh sorry yeah, been looking for a link somewhere. basically he said everyone wondered what was going on when all the players were sold in the summer but that the club had done well by bringing in players that made us probably a stronger squad than last season. He also saw no reason we couldn't build on the 8th from last year and that was what he and the rest would be aiming for. Sounded really happy and positive
