As Sky are reporting they have bid 28.6 million for Sergio Ramos I wonder if the Morgan bid, or seriousness of it, will rest on that outcome. If they splash out that much they may well want a cheaper option as a defensive midfielder. i still wouldn't be surprised to see him at Arsenal, around the 30 August knowing the way Wenger works.

Why as a club would you pay back Southampton the £2 million or whatever it is if you are still in negotiation with them (and other clubs) to sell the player ? It makes no sense. " Ok, we will give you back your £2 million then if you are the club that comes up with the best offer we will take that back again" !!! he isn't only worth £15 million, it's all to do with only having a year left on his contract whereas Shaw had four years left and Lallana about three. If he had two or three years left that asking figure would be way more than the 15.

oh something along the lines of "I want Champions League football and while this club isn't in it this season I firmly believe with this manager and group of players we will qualify next season" gets him out of that statement and if course the mega wages will help.
