Well there you go. Do we know if we would be in the group stages BEFORE the transfer window shuts ?
-
If we progress to the group stages and still don't have a squad big enough the amount of experience a manager has or not is irrelevant, if a player gets tired he gets tired and if lack of resources means that player has to play twice a week for a long spell like the group stage is then the league form and position in the table will suffer.

Below Bagpuss as well, that is as low as you can sink

We're all going on a European tour.......

"seen" him say "privately" ? Not heard but seen ? -
If Arsenal want him give them the fee we want with the agreement that if they **** up the FA Cup and cost us Europe we add on a few million for lost revenue
-
He is, but if Wenger doesnt want him it could prove interesting. Wenger doesn't like being told by anyone who to sign and midfield isn't exactly his weakest area of the team.

Removal men work Bank Holiday Monday do they ? Were you outside waving bye bye as he dragged his suitcase out to the car ?

RK has said several times that he has had a groin injury for the most part of the second half of the season. Hopefully that clears up with rest, or maybe an operation. Its obviously been bad enough to affect him quite a bit.
-
For the games he has played yeah, thats where marks out of the season are so uneven. Clyne has dropped off in the past few months. You have shown that yourself by giving Steven Davis a 6, he was fantastic for most of the season but dropped off towards the end.

Great season but 1 out of 21 away since 7th feb !
beatlesaint replied to Roger's topic in The Saints
If Forster had not been injured and missed the end if the season I am convinced we would have finished 5th. Our away record was excellent for two thirds of the season, on the third the keeper is out for it goes downhill. i don't believe it's a coincidence. -
it is in Newcastle where Janmat is !
-
We are one of his former clubs, he did a bloody good job here, he hasn't air brushed us off his CV like some Sandbanks resident we all know and detest, and he isn't taking credit for our young players. calm down OP ffs
-
uh huh, I'm sure Wenger will turn him into a modern day Ronald Koeman if anyone can
-
or Chambers indeed. Has he been seen in the last three months ? Does he make the subs bench even ? I honestly don't know, my only interest in Arsenal will be if we finish 7th and need them to win the FA Cup

Makes my blood boil to hear all these experts say he should stay at Liverpool and develop as a player, get plenty of game time etc etc. Didn't hear them say that when they were creaming themselves about Luke Shaw going to a big club to show his true potential. **** all was said about staying at Southampton and playing every week then !!

Fans have short memories but so do football clubs. They have capped their season tickets at 7000. They have put their prices up, on average, by about £100 if that BBC report is correct (600 to 687?). So they are making an extra £700,000 off season ticket sales whilst promotion to the Prem League is worth millions plus they have the security of the parachute payments for however many years that is now. 700k is a drop in the ocean compared with the TV money they will get alone. Yet the prize for those season ticket holders who have stuck with them through some pretty awful times, sat there through 0-0 draws against Richdale on a cold and wet November night is that they have to find an extra £100 per person. Great reward for your loyal support Bournemouth. i can see why they are doing it but it doesn't make it right. If they end up a one season wonder and do a Wigan or Swindon or Barnsley and slip back to Div 1 or 2 no doubt those loyal supporters will once again become very important to them.

Brilliant show, the thing that really choked me up about it was seeing the way Matt was up and screaming at St Mary's as Mane scored against Palace a couple of months ago. For anyone who has any doubt about how much Southampton FC means to him watch that, a 10 second clip, it tells you everything you need to know. A lump in the throat moment for me.
-
Bournemouth dont need Rickie, scoring goals doesnt seem to e an issue for them, its at the back they need someone, they often looked dodgy to the highball and crosses coming into the area !
-
If the price is right I would keep him.
