  1. Whoever we sign I hope we get them at the start of January and not the 31st. We womt get away with being a bit threadbare in some postions for much longer.
  2. As per J Sibley's tweet Connolly is very close (in other words back for Palace), Chaplow is training (ditto Palace) and Barnard is out for 2 months
  3. Apart from the fact the main camera appeared to be in Southsea, the two commentators were clueless, the presenter was a class A cock and they showed replays when something was going on I thought they did quite well ;-)
  4. seconded
  5. West Ham, Middlesbro, Hull, Leeds, Birmingham, Brighton and Blackpool not withstanding of course. Not many teams are as **** at home as they were today, they wanted one point and they got one point. The celebrations from them at the end told you as much.
  6. Totally agree, you can tell with Guly what he's going to play like in the first 15 minutes usually. Had NA more faith in De Ridder I'm pretty sure Guly wouldn't have been on the pitch to NOT defend that corner.
  7. So if you apply that same logic to Saturday 3.00 kick off there isn't a problem, they would all be out of the city by 5.30 - 6.00.
  8. So Friday 30th December would probably, being the eve before New Years Eve, fairly quiet around the city centre, certainly more so than the usual Friday nights I would think. So good old Hampshire Constabluary decide to change a football fixture that will bring an extra 20,000 plus into the city, therefore giving them two busy nights in a row ? Genius.
  9. Oh the bloody Police again is it ? Perhaps we should all go to the game in a bubble Doesn't seem to be an issue for just about every other Police Force in the country !!
  10. I would like to see us play at a higher tempo like we did at the start of the season when we were playing superbly. The last few weeks we have played at a slower tempo and I dont think its coincidence we have gone off the boil since doing so.
  11. Its not that many years ago it was sung at the right speed - whats so difficult about it ? The slow version is like a funeral march, the fast is manic.......and yes it does annoy me that Spurs sing it. The only thing Lowe got right - North London yobbos !!
  12. If we come through our bad patch, which every team has, and we are still in the top two I shall be very very happy. Press the panic button, if you must, if we drop down to 7th or 8th not when we are 3 points clear at the top.
  13. Lambert, Chaplow, Lallana and Connolly
  14. Seriously ? Fox was awful today, as someone said in another thread there were too many Hollywood passes to the other side of the pitch, he wont pass to Lallana etc etc. If Fox must play then please dont play him when the opposition have a decent winger cos he never gets anywhere near them defensively. I have seen very little from him to suggest he is that much better than Harding. And all this talk about Lallana carrying his injury....i think the bottom line is the two players he plays with the best, Connolly and Harding are not playing for different reasons and I think its affecting Adam's performance.
  15. I must have missed something, I didnt realise he had such a bad game on purpose........ffs
  16. FWIW I think Lallana misses Connolly, they seem to be on the same wavelength.
  17. Its a pity we dont have something this level headed after a match. Excellent summary.
  18. Kevin Bond. Possibly the luckiest man in football, has held onto Redcrapp's coat tails and look where its got him !
  19. I think we have been victims of our own success this season. The bar of expectation has been raised far higher than most of us ever dared hope and with it goes harsher criticism and a bigger feeling of let down when things dont go as good as they have most of the season. You are right in what you say but I bet if we were sat in no mans land mid-table world people would of just shrugged this defeat off a bit more.
  20. I think he means "same ****, different day" which isnt true in this case
  21. Well as usual you are being picky but you get my point surely ? And lack of goals is not because he plays deeper its because his shooting is bloody awful, the worst part of his game.
  22. I must say I'm a bit concerned as to why in his post match comments NA was "excited" about Guly playing up top with Morgan feeding off him. Why on earth would you be excited about pushing a guy forward who has scored one goal in his Saints career ? Sorry but I just dont get that tactic I'm afraid.
  23. Think to be fair his point is that, ok maybe not Beattie, but we should have bought in a big centre forward on loan as cover for Rickie. We have gambled on his fitness until January and barely a week after the window slammed shut we have lost that gamble. Some say sods law but we have gambled with the chance of mainting our place at the top of the league for me I'm sorry to say.
  24. Yeah I agree, its not knee jerk at all. If you are top of the League and serious about promotion you should not be losing to teams at the bottom of the table who have only won one home game all season and not scored more than one goal in those home games. We are having a bad spell, with the exception of the second half against Brightion we have been poor since the last international break........oh and how many strikers that we have been linked with are gonna score against us FFS ? Sharp, Juke and Maynard......bloody hell.
