Was it Guly's **** poor pass that led to Hammond getting sent off ? I believe it was.
I get the impression that Guly is a bit of a home player to be honest.
I'm with Daren, I really didnt believe, or dare think about it until last night.
But to beat them with Cork on the bench and Lallana not even fit to play I really think, with some additions in January, that we could do this.
Interesting that so many pickers of the team are keeping Fox at left back despite Harding being fit again.
If West Ham attack down the flanks go with Harding and push Fox to left side of midfield in Lallana's probable absence.
If Richardson is out after his knock at Derby I hope Butterfield is at right back, dont want Cork wasted and exposed there thanks very much.
I would also move Fox to left midfield and put Harding at left back if Lallana is out.
This !
The benefit of a flying start is when you do have a blip then the other teams still need to catch up first, never mind building an uncatchable lead over us !
Be bloody funny if he took the job, lost a couple of games early on and all his journo mates turned on him at long last :-)
Bet a fair few of them have helped keep a few skeletons in the cupboard for the saggy chopped old ****.
A lot of the balls he was asked to chase in the first half in that searing heat was a bit unfair on him. He has great pace, if he had gotten a few decent passes he would have shown his true potential, not that he was bad I might add.
Really very impressive and getting better each game.
I think the injuries last season really set him back but this season he has shown what a fine player he is.
Another vote for Harding here.
Fox just cannot defend, is very rarely within a country mile of the player he should be marking and so far has not looked worth £1.8m.
He will need time to settle in I suppose but I agree that Harding and Lallana's understanding is very strong and benefits the team.
Cannot believe how that has all worked out....and Poopey providing the icing on the cake :-)
What a fabulous chance we have in the next two games to open up a gap !
Come On You Saints, take your chances boys !
Cyril Regis, Bryan Robson, Ian Wallace, Adrian Heath (and unlike Um I am still bloody bitter about 1984), Ian Wright, Dion Dublin...the list is almost bloody endless !!!
Oh and Alan Brazil.
